My name is Gary Clift and I am running for Congress in California's District 10 for a special election scheduled on September 1st. I am running as a Ron Paul Republican on the platform of States' Rights, Individual Liberty, and Fiscal Responsibility. Like Ron Paul's son, Rand Paul, I have endorsed the platform at http://www.RetakeCongress.com and I am listed on the website as the only California candidate who has embraced this platform. I am also listed as a candidate on http://RonPaulRepublican.com; if I win, it should encourage many more liberty candidates to run in California for the 2010 congressional elections.
I have pledged to cosponsor Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Bill (H.R. 1207) when elected to Congress so I can help make sure this historic piece of legislation is passed. Because this is a special election, turnout is expected to be extremely low (especially since the May 2009 Congressional special election turnout in CA was under 25% and that had statewide ballot measures on it). We have a unique opportunity to show a strong showing for a liberty candidate and encourage other candidates in this state and across the country to endorse the platform of the Campaign for Liberty and RetakeCongress.com.
Absentee voting starts August 3rd and absentee voting doubled ballot voting in the last special election for this district so this money bomb will give us the necessary funds to reach voters prior to absentee voting. I can't win this without money. I can't win this without you.
