these guys look REALLY excited to have just returned from the moon, especially that guy in the blue suit. He looks like he can't get out of there fast enough. They look like they are in an interrogation rather than a press conference.

If someone got in my face about something historic that I had done, and called me a liar and a coward, I'd probably pop him, too.

While I hate violence, I also understand the desire to occasionally be involved in it. Before all these "laws" were enacted, when one called another names, the name-caller risked being "cold-cocked". This is what happened here. Personally, I think we made it to the moon, with a little help from our (alien) friends. So in my scenario, I have the utmost sympathy for Mr. Aldrin: To be involved in something so historic, yet being forced to be quiet about the specifics for decades, then being accused of faking the whole thing, in my opinion would certainly cause such an emotional reaction... You are free to think otherwise...

I'd have punched the little fuck in the face, as well. If I tell someone to back up, they need to back up as they are invading my personal space. Especially if that particular person is being hostile towards me. I'll take that as a threat on my well being and will take preventative measures to make sure I am kept safe from any harm.

Overreaction? Meh, this is not the first he has heard of it over the years, I'm sure. This was probably an outburst from so many years of being called a liar. One person can only take so much abuse before they snap.

If somebody ran up to me and called me a liar and a coward I would punch him in the face too. Those are considered fighting words and if he were in my state Aldrin would have been within his rights to physically retaliate.

Everything that I have read on the moon landing subject has not pointed to the fact that the landing was fake - but instead that the footage was contrived in order to be a propaganda piece. It was an is impossible for film technology to work with sub zero temperatures and constant bombardment from solar radiation.
Remember the astronauts were carrying around a modified portable hassleblad camera.
Even if the film didn't shatter, or the mechanisms of the camera were able to work in the extreme temperatures- then the film would have been overexposed due to the radiation.
It is amazing however that the footage comes out with cinematic quality... almost as if it were filmed in a studio.
Of course we landed on the moon - we have the moon rocks to prove it.
