Peter Schiff - What's his stance on Abortion?
Submitted by tmarsha4 on Tue, 07/21/2009 - 13:29
Where does Peter Schiff stand on life? Surely he knew that Ron Paul's appeal was on a wide array of issues. Why does Peter Schiff only stick to one issue? It may be the most important, but some voters 2nd and 3rd issues may outweigh their 1st.
Where does everyone else stand on Peter Schiff withholding his positions on other issues??

My 2nd amendment
Protects me and my fellow citizens. History has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that when government starts talking about protection and security, you better leave the country. Lets get constitutional candidates in the federal govt. then let local govts. discuss the ethical issues and decide for themselves. Nothing is more local than the individual.
FOCUS!
Abortion and Gay Marriage are Red Herrings.
Along with all the other distractions, they'll work themselves out when we return to limited government.
PERIOD.

Libertarianism to the extreme...
Government has a right to protect and defend victims.
If you are going to argue that Abortion is an issue of morality, Murder is an issue of morality. Rape, Robbery, Assualt are all issues of morality. Every crime on the book is an issue of morality. Crimes and laws are all derivatives of morality.
Society without laws is Anarchy.
Abortion has a victim, thus it should be governed and made criminal. Gay Marriage has no victim, thus it should be left alone.
Sex is a choice. Unprotected sex is a choice. Pregnancy is a unintended consequence of that choice. The child that results from that rendezvous is the responsiblity that comes from a choice.
If I drive recklessly and kill a man, guess what, I take responsiblity for my previous choices which resulted in unintended consequences. The same is with abortion, Sex=Choice, Child=Responsibility/Consequence of previous choices.
That should be the measuring stick, direct victims=CRIME no direct victims=CHOICE
Oh brother
Abortion and gay marriage. Neither of those issues should be political.
IMO they are private, personal, individual decisions that come about and are all unique in thier own way. Mind your own business.
No
The CHOICE to get pregnant or not is private, personal, individual, but once you are pregnant, it is not YOUR life in jeopardy if you abort.
Oh Brother yourself!
"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Life means life, not born life or excluding unborn life, ALL life.
Notice the order. Then ask: what is life? ...There. You have your answer.
If you are for the Constitution, pro-life goes with the Constitution.
Really. Who cares.
What's his stance on The Iraq/Afghanistan Wars?
What's his stance on The War on Drugs?
What's his stance on decriminalizing and legalizing all plants?
What's his stance on false flag events preceding wars, etc.?
(You don't even need to ask his anti-stance on the IRS -- that's a no-brainer, thanks to his dad/hero Irwin)
Stick to the important issues, not the dividing personal ones, fer crying out loud.
Even though I disagree with
Even though I disagree with you on abortion, the GOP wants to keep it around as an issue to entrap Christians into voting for them. I refuse to play that game. The GOP could have ended the issue with a simple majority vote 8 years ago and chose not to.

No Fe'ral Authority
As long as the Constitution reserves to the States or the People the bulk of legislative authority (particularly as regards abortion), then I will support Mr Schiff's silence on any non-Fe'ral issue.
Okeh, sure, maybe I'm curious, but I still don't consider it to be relevant to his particular race.
