1207 - Be a Part of the Mother of All Lobbying Efforts

C4L will be rolling out something grand, something that will vastly propel our efforts toward passage of 1207 and 604.

However, a quasi-independent group of folks are laying the groundwork for a mass-action event focused on two of the congresscritters we love to hate the most. That's right, Pelosi and Frank.

The details are still being worked out, but that's because we are planning this to be much larger than a mere mass-canvass day or week. We have built a network with contacts and assets we intend to exploit to the fullest.

So what I need to know is - how do you want to help?

We need:

1) people who will travel to California or Massachusetts and stay for a few days

2) people who will blog and social network like crazy (this WILL go viral, but nothing could go viral enough!)

3) people who will do regular, motivating YouTube video blogs (a la the early Prez campaign days!)

4) people who want to help with the website

5) people who can make phone calls to people on their local C4L list - let me know for what territory

6) people who can help create banners and signs - and get them to CA and MA

7) people who can lead canvassing / street marketing / petition gathering efforts

8) people with logistical skills who can offer support to direct ground efforts over large territories

9) people with graphic design skills who can create literature appealing to various demographics

10) people who can perform LOADS of data entry, on site

11) people who can help with security at an event

12) people who can help secure permits for public events

13) people who can provide on-the-fly canvass training for noobs

14) people who can coordinate ad-hoc calling parties to rally people to the effort

and that's just the beginning.

This will be big, and it is coming. We need people on the ground to number greater than a couple thousand. We need you to be a part of it. Free up some time roughly two months from now.

If you live in the Boston area or the Bay area, we need help coordinating campground reservations and finding local volunteers who will open their homes to visiting activists.

If you live anywhere in California or Massachusetts, and you are a Regional or County C4L coordinator, you can start now by calling and connecting with your paid and unpaid members (you should be doing this anyway). Tell them you will need their help very soon for a massive lobbying event that will be targeted like no other.

Tell them now is the time we need them most.
