After watching the video and reading the comments I could not agree more with the videos main points.
Many westerners have some sort of complex where abusing animals and ignoring the abuse that animals have suffered is "ok" as long as they do not see it or do it themselves. They feel if they "employ" others through their choices in pets, food, clothing etc and are not immediately made aware of the suffering it makes it alright.
Watching segments of the video where these pig factory farmers are beating with metal pipes and saying things like move you M.F. and laughing that they missed killing them with blunt instruments makes me sick. This feeling is not towards the factory farmers so much but towards humanity in general. This especially coupled with comments here such as "bacon tastes good" you people are shallow, selfish and insecure. I hope you feel good about your actions.
I remember reading stories about some American Indians where if they had to take an animals life to feed their family they did it swiftly and even apologized to the animal that their family was hungry etc.
A humans worst enemy is itself. We will kill ourselves with slow poising and idiotic behavior all supported by a westerner's mentality that "what do I care about others feelings, they are just dumb animals"
Humanity's downfall will be the destruction of the symbiotic relationships of nature. Factory farms are a source of pain, suffering and disease. Why would any freedom loving individual make ridicule a documentary such as this one as these big businesses are the very thing you should be fighting against.
I am not someone saying I am a high and mighty vegan who has never inflicted pain on humans or animals. I am just like many, but do hate Monsanto and others who are ruining agriculture. As a result I retaliate with my wallet. I shop at farmers markets buying organic produce as much as I can. I eat extremely healthy limiting the processed foods in my diet as much as I can.
Maybe those who comment with posts such as "I am such a tough guy because I like Bacon" should watch this video and consider the ramifications of their actions. If the scene where they debeak chickens, or club them to death or ? makes you sick, then vote with your wallet and do not eat at KFC, or buy chickens from any place that uses factory farms. Maybe you can find a small local chicken farmer and support them with your business... Or stop eating chicken

Let me tell you a story I heard when I was very small.. it must have been a dream because I have not been able to find this story anywhere, but here is what I learned when I was little.
When Zues created the animals of the world, he sent Althena, the goddess of wisdom and Prometheus, the god of fire, with a bag of gifts, "survival goods", for the animals. The bag had things like scales and fins, wings and feathers, fur, teeth, night vision, claws, thick skin, you get the idea? Well, the goddess and the god passed those gifts out to the animals and when they were done they were very pleased with themselves until they saw the animal that "stood behind the door". There was man.. a naked ape. The goddess and the god scrapped the bag searching for gifts for man, but all they could find was a little hair, a little claw, some teeth... there was NO way man was going to survive with too few survival gifts. The goddess and god became desperate. They knew Zues would NOT be pleased and would punish them or even destroy them. So they made an agreement, Athena would give man some knowledge, and prometheus would give them some fire power and that's how man would survive. That's what they did and they returned to Zues and beconned him to see their work.
Zues was most pleased to see his animal kingdom. The animals were beautiful and surviving well. And then Zues saw man. "What is that?" Zues could not believe what he was seeing. Here was this freak, a mutant! He became angry and roared at the goddess and god, "What have you done? How dare you put yourselves into the making of man! Knowledge and Fire are gifts to gods and goddesses NOT humans! Humans will destroy themselves with such gifts." And with that, Althena was bannished from Mount Olympis and she occupied a temple in Athens until it was destroyed by the Turks, and Prometheus was staked to a rock where the eagles eat his heart out everyday.

Those animal killers and destroyers need to be routed out from the guise of caring for them. They are all sick and need to be shown in the light of truth.

I used to like them ok -- until they came out slamming anything to do with organic food and spouting the sentiment that any organization who publicly comes out against cruelty to animals are in some way defective and stupid -- which was when they started slamming PETA -- who, back in the early '80s, weren't always the media circus they've become. But their intentions have never changed; they simply want people to think about how animals have become mere commodities to be tortured and enslaved.
Just because someone might favor the "libertarian" point of view, I'd say that their "agenda" is not the same as mine.
Are you even aware of who's really behind the backlash against PETA? Pharmaceutical drug corporations who find them to be a threat to their billion dollar profits rooted in animal testing that turns into human guinea pig testing, after the drugs and vaccines are approved by the FDA, with tragic results. Huge GMO corporations like Monsanto and their ilk who don't want you to know how they've turned animals into Frankenstein creatures who have so little muscle mass they can't walk or stand, just to make a profit and put a patent on nature.

Oh I remember. It was Nobel Laureate Norman Borlaug who has studied Agricultural issues in the third world for his entire career, and saved roughly 1 billion lives by improving crop yields, but what the hell does he know compared to you, Blackmira, some random person on the internet.
