She won't be there

Elisabeth Hasselbeck (the young, hot, blonde one) went on maternity leave last month. They have been rotating in random celebrity guest co-hosts to replace her. I don't know who is going to be there Dec. 4 but maybe some of the more hard core View fans know and could chime in. But I don't thinik Elisabeth would have been a problem at all. She isn't the typical "neo-con" in that she is extremely polite and well mannered. Though she might disagree with him, she would have been respectful and given him his chance to speak. In fact, I am very upset she won't be there, because I'd be willing to bet Ron could have persuaded her as to the errors of her thinking. Imagine the publicity we could have gotten from an on air converstion of a prominent celebrity Bush backer to the Ron Paul Revolution!

Good Point.........

I didn't know that she had left for maternity leave.... Thanks. Also, you make some good points w/ respect to Paul persuading her. I am confident that he could handle himself w/ anyone, as you clearly are, I just disliked what I have heard from her in the past.

From what I saw when they discussed Dr. Paul last time...

She had a very nasty arrogant and condescening attitude about Dr. Paul and I found it to be extremely offensive and disrespectful. I'm glad she won't be there. It would raise my blood pressure to see te good Dr. have to be put on the defensive by a rude and dismissive woman.

This is Great......but.....

I don't really think this will be a problem for he good Dr., but there is one host on the view (the younger, blonde one), that I have seen on some youtube videos. She is the mindless, neocon type, who believes that whole "they will follow us home" crap. I think Paul can handle her, and most of the other hosts have spoken favorably of Paul before, but she will definitely try to get her jabs in wherever she can. She is really like a poster child for the neocon propaganda at this point.

Ron Pauls biggest issue is

Ron Pauls biggest issue is people don't know who he is. The View is a HUGE move for him. I expect they will treat him with respect as he will with them. It will be the first time in my life I will watch the damn show - god help me if my wife finds out.

I actually liked the episode

I actually liked the episode where he was the subject of heated discussion. It was really quite good. Elizabeth Hasselbeck represents a big slice of the kind of people who just accept what they hear uncritically as long as it pushes their own world view. Her not being on the show may slightly lessen the reach of the message. All in all, this is a great thing for Ron Paul. NEXT UP... OPRAH!

Wait a sec...

They're making The Golden Compass into a Movie? That better be awesome or I'll be disapp- oh oops, I mean, GO RON GO!

Edit: Psh, just googled it, it's all watered down to be non offensive. Hollywood just ASSUMES I watch movies for the talking polar bears riding in hot air balloons and they can strip the book of all meaning.

If they didn't strip the meaning

You'd have an uprising by the Christian element. One of my coworkers brought this up to me today (about the message of the books) and how his mother (a school teacher) removed them from their school library.

While I don't agree with "the message," I also don't agree with censorship, so I would have to come down on the side of leave the books on the shelves and leave the PARENTS to decide what their kids read or have access to, not an individual school teacher playing "public conscience." Remember, "freedom means FREEDOM!"

Yeah, I'm just somewhat

Yeah, I'm just somewhat bummed as it will make the movie worse. I remember the books being quite good, though I was 12 at the time.

I'd talk about it more but It'd be wasting manystrom's bandwidth for lack of Ron Paul.

Don't forget, Ron is polling low in women's voters

Ron "needs" a bump with this demographic and this is "JUST" the show to help! Several of these ladies have already voiced some very positive things about Ron, including just after his "exhange" with Rudy back in May and also when they had Jack Cafferty on the show.

Also, to those who think women aren't interested in politics, at least "one" is running for PRESIDENT (lol)! Also, we're talking about "Doctor" Ron Paul, an OB/GYN on a show catering to "women." A doctor who has delivered over 4,000 babies. Ummmmmmmm, I think this will play well :-)

Hasselbeck

Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck still on the show? Maybe Ron Paul can educate her while he is there.

She's on maternity leave for a few months

good.

my inlaw, she watches this show on occasion. She already, though, thinks RP is "too old"(and he's a Republican).
I don't know. It may help with some of the people who watch the show, who are more open-minded/undecided.
take care/not offense

Fantastic news.

I have been waiting for this one.

Women's Suffrage! waahoo!

(From Wikipedia:)
The term women's suffrage refers to the economic and political reform movement aimed at extending suffrage — the right to vote — to women

It's about time! I would approve of The View anytime over Beck's show for RP to attend. Good choice!

How about getting RP on that one Doctor show?

Great news. Thanks! Visit

He should give out a copy of

He should give out a copy of his book to the whole audience.

That's a great idea!

I'll buy a few copies to send. Or will they get disposed of like the flowers? What do you all think? I read, on another post, the idea of sending tea for 6. That sounds great as well.

I saw this on my TiVo

If you set up a key word search, you can have TiVo record anything with "Ron Paul" in it. So far I caught the Bloomberg interview and this one showed up in the "To Do" list as well.

Tivo

The US is five technology generations ahead of the rest of the world.

In spite of all the problems Ron Paul is pointing out, man... the US market is sparkling with delight from being so damn free.

Ron On Oprah

The campaign would be very wise to attempt to get Ron onto Oprah. Even though she openly supports Obama, she may be open to inviting Ron Paul on there to talk.

SUGGESTION!!!

Ron should take each of the hosts a copy of the four books he asked Giuliani to read and then ask the voters to "educate" or "inform" themselves. (How ever he wants to word it.) These are mothers. They need to know that he knows what he is talking about and knows more than ANY other candidate how to make sure THEIR CHILDREN can have a better future.

The big points he needs to hit:

- My presidency will keep you safe by being smart
- My presidency will secure your children's economic future
- (HE WILL GET ASKED ABOUT ABORTION!!!) I have successfully delivered 4000 babies and I have never had to perform an abortion to save a life, BUT I would return the issue to the states.... (they'll ask for an explanation)

Woman's View Ron!!

I hope Ron remembers his audience is women. I hope he focuses on issues of family privacy, national safety, helping others, being friendly with all nations, etc.

Plus health care, debt burden on our kids,

and education.

It is a different demographic than blogs here. Do more than 20% of DP bloggers regularly watch The View? I doubt it.

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

Don't worry about the Message, it speaks for it's Self.

I recently saw a interview done by a Dallas TV station in 1988 with Presidential Canidate Ron Paul, i sat Stunned as a younger Dr Paul said the Exact Same things he's saying today!!

I was blown away, because the Truth doesn't change, the Country is now Ready for this Message some 20- yrs later, so don't worry about Dr Paul on the View or anywhere else. I supsect when Dr Paul leaves The View, they'll be part of the Ron Paul Revolution!!!!

It speaks to you Jeep

But would that 1988 interview speak to a 42 year old soccer Mom? I'm married to one, and the answer is usually no.

Soccer Moms Pay Taxes too.

JP, maybe not in 1988, but today with the Internet and the unlimited ability to research info and weight matters out, even a Soccer Mom can't get this one wrong,
only people in DENIAL reject the Ron Paul Message, move thinking Americans have Had it up to Here!!!

Good exposure

It's a show watched by a whole lot of people.
And it is a show that gets commented on quite often. Maybe not as much as of late now that Rosie is gone. But it's still good exposure that could generate some media shrapnel. Who knows? Maybe one of the panelists on the show will say something crazy that the Stern show will pick up on and it will take off, or something like that. Knock 'em dead, Ron!

OK, good news I suppose but tell me again -

What is the big deal about this show? If its a morning mom show he had better be tuned to the "security / soccer mom" issues and not get dragged into a macho "pissing contest" over the arcane CT items...

"The question is not who will let me- the question is who will stop me" - Ayn Rand

Not that I watch the show, but

as a "Mom", you'd be surprised at how interested I am in issues like the economy (we are usually the ones doing the grocery shopping and filling up the gas tank for carpooling). We are much more likely to worry about the dangers that lurk in our own neighborhoods than those that threaten us around the world. Education is a big deal - we want better choices in our schools (that means getting the big government and its endless testing OUT!).

What we don't want is some pretty boy (or his wife:) trying to pull the wool over our eyes and taking more of our family's hard-earned money and peace of mind to further their own goals of globalization of our country! I can't wait to watch the show and see how the gals (one of them is a MAJOR neo-con) treat Dr. Paul.
