What people usually mean by Birth certificate is a certified copy of the original document.

I have one of those too, on the back side is date ond signature, when and by whom this copy was made.

I am from Germany so my papers are a little different, but the idea is the same.

Then I have something called "international birth certificate"

It is a computer print out with just the key information.

This was not accepted for my immigration process, I had to have the original BC with certified translation. The reason they don't accept it is, because it can easily be forged.

The coputer print out is similar to Obamas document.

Important information like the hospital is missing.

Why is this not accepted in the immigration process, but it is enough proof for the president.

Give me break!

Besides the fact that he is not a natural born citizen anyway and people should learn what that means!

I am thinking that the terms, Certificate of Live Birth, and Birth Certificate are interchangeable. My birth state Illinois issues Certificates of Live Birth, a copy of the original I have right in front of me as I type this comment. The question would be is there a doctor's signature certifying the he or she attended to the mother during the birth at the time and place indicated on the Birth Certificate.

I lost my birth certificate so I sent for a copy. What I got back was a "Certification of Birth". This is not a copy of the original which had the name of the doctor, signatures, and my footprint.
In the fine print it says, "This is to certify that this is a true and correct abstract from the official record filed with the Illinois Department of Public Health".

I had to obtain a copy of my Illinois birth certificate when I applied for an early retirement from the company I was working for. It is a copy of the original including all the signatures. Maybe requesting the birth certificate for retirement purposes is the reason I got a copy of the original,I do not know.

Mine was computer generated and had the date it was printed up on it. I requested it from Cook County, maybe I could have gone the state route, not sure, and gotten a copy of the real thing. Anyway the Feds accepted what I got.

My husband is from Texas and he got the real deal. A copy with certification.

Still, it doesn't explain why he is hiding ALL the records.
What about the Occidental College?
