The purpose of this video is to urge all those who cherish freedom to show their support for Peter Schiff by participating in a grassroots-organized “moneybomb” on August 7th.

As you may know, Peter Schiff was one of the few to predict the financial meltdown when most so-called economists thought the artificial boom would last forever. Unfortunately, almost all of his forecasts have come true and America is facing the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.

Although our country’s problems were caused by governmental policies of excessive spending and easy credit, our representatives refuse to let the market adjust itself. Instead, they insist we continue to borrow, tax, inflate, and spend. This will undoubtedly lead the nation into further economic ruin by subjecting us to massive inflation.

Even after being vindicated, Peter’s free-market ideas have little influence in the political spectrum. However, this could change.

After much prodding from supporters, Mr. Schiff has decided to strongly consider running for Senate against Chris Dodd in his home state of Connecticut. He has formed an official exploratory committee and launched a website at http://SchiffForSenate.com.

Peter has stated that he will make the sacrifice of running and using some of his own money for funding, but only if he can count on his supporters for further financial assistance. If he sees that enough people have donated within the next few weeks, he will declare himself an official candidate. Otherwise, he will refund all contributions.

Several dedicated supporters have organized a grassroots event with the purpose of raising Peter a large sum of money on one single day. Revolution Broadcasting (revolutionbroadcasting.com) will be hosting a weeklong telethon that will feature many prominent guests to endorse Peter; Mr. Schiff himself will be on to take calls.
