Texas Governor Rick Perry doesn't walk the walk (Berman sells out)

Maybe I’m confused.

I thought the governor of Texas was Rick Perry.

But he’s starting to sound like another R.P.: Ron Paul.

The more Perry talks about tea parties, states’ rights, limited government and defying Washington, the more he seems to be playing for the 70,000 Texas voters who backed Paul, a Republican U.S. representative, for president.

Paul’s former state campaign manager is now running against Perry for governor. She agreed.

"It’s awfully ironic, isn’t it?" Wharton Republican Debra Medina said Friday, laughing over the phone from Austin.

"The governor is great at blowing smoke. He knows how to talk conservative values and principles. Then when he gets elected, he goes right back to big-government principles."

In his latest chess move against his Republican opponent, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Perry made another bid for independent and libertarian votes last week, telling WBAP/820 AM radio host Mark Davis that healthcare is a "state issue" and that states should be "standing up and saying 'no’ " to a federal plan.

Sounding a lot like he did April 15 when he said Texas might secede from the U.S. ("Who knows?"), Perry said he’s "willing and ready for the fight" against Washington.

State Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, a former gubernatorial candidate who recently endorsed Perry, said the governor is going after both Republicans and independents.

Perry continues to push the TTC forward. Yeah, he declared it dead, then renamed it and is moving it forward as quicky and quietly as possible.

I will give him credit for one thing though, he is an accomplished liar/manipulator.

Bump for Truth

Wake up Texans Rick and Kay "Bailout" need to be exiled!

Debra Medina is right

Perry sees how popular our message is and is jumping on the bandwagon. But he will not follow through on any of this, nothing more than pandering.

I saw this article earlier and posted about it.

I agree

Perry is just trying his own ~hope and change~ tour... everything you want to hear with no chance of him following up on it.

Ain't no way in hell

I'd ever vote for Perry. It is Medina for me and then the libertarian, whoever that guy is, or the secessionist, Larry Kilgore.

Perry is a Globalist

Bilderberger trash!! So is Kay Bailout!

During the last election I wrote in Ron Paul for president. I

know about 100 others that did the same but the State will not release the total write in vote count. Does anyone here know how to obtain the count? For Texas that is.

This site was not very active for a while but you can find ALL you need to know about the rat Rick Perry. It's hard to imagine the people of TX would fall for this creep again but appears the apathy down there is as bad as any. It is truly one of the most corrupt states in the union.
