I have questions from my history class

Two questions.

1. How has the role of the federal government changed since the late nineteenth century? (4 specific ways).

2. Assuming America won the Cold War, give 4 reasons why.

It would be nice to get a libertarian perspective, or a Wikipedia perspective. Thanks for the help

The Fed makes the US Govt money

The Fed gives the profits to the Federal Government or so they say. So when the Fed loans to other countries and collects interest, then the US Govt gets some of the money, by putting other countries into debt.

It is a huge scam, and it is probably a massive slush fund.

The federal government created a private corporation after the civil war to handle the business needs of the government, and in 1944 quit claimed it to the international monetary fund.
Go to teamlaw.org and you can read about it quickly and give your history teacher a heart attack. In other words, you will learn that the federal government doesn't even exist anymore, but instead has been replaced by that same private, foreign owned corporation.

Regarding the cold war...

The U.S.S.R.'s currency collapsed and they lost their empire. The Soviets had been inflating their currency for a long time. The Soviets had a pie only 1/3rd the size of the U.S. Pie so when Reagan ramped up military spending the Soviets spent themselves into bankruptcy trying to keep up. The straw that broke the back of the U.S.S.R. was the drop in oil prices by OPEC. The U.S. pressured and bribed Saudi Arabia into cutting the price of oil just when the Soviets were most desperate for revenue and finally it just collpased. Also, the Russain / Afghan war was very costly for the Russians and they spent a bundle losing that war....much like we did in Viet Nam. I believe these are the reasons the U.S.S.R. collapsed.
