Who wants to meet Rand Paul? The Big Apple is Calling! 8/5 Kokesh & Schiff will be there too!

Rumor has it that Rand is making the circuit next Wednesday, August 5th in New York City, with a major announcement...Hmmm, I wonder what it is? Who knows? Maybe Freedom Watch, a little Glenn Beck...

What is certain is that he will be at a meetup thrown by NYC Campaign for Liberty! Response for this meetup was overwhelming so they had to change venues...

What level of supporter are you? $25 "friends of Rand" gets you in the door; $50 "Patrons of Rand" gets you in, and well you just helped Rand get a little closer to Washington; $100 "Benefactor of Rand" your in the door, get an autographed Constitution by both of the good Doctors Paul, and get a one-on-one photo with possibly the next senator from Kentucky!!!

RSVP NOW!! Dress to impress, you'll want to look good in that photo!

Other well known liberty figureheads expected

Judge Napolitano, Gerald Cilente, Andrew Schiff, and a Mises fellow all might be there as well. Russia Today is interviewing Rand after his Glenn Beck appearance. This is going to be a great event. I'm filming the Webster Hall event so for all you non-New Yorkers I'll have it on youtube as soon as I can.

Adam was just interviewed on Russia Today -- did you know he

will not receive the full congressional salary & donate it to a charity chosen by his District. He gave a good explanation of HR 1207 & the exact # of sponsors it has. You should make Russia Today part of your daily viewing on public tv, available in Russian & English.

For some reason, we're expected to know every law that exists in America & in our state so we don't break it. We're supposed to know this when we're 18. There's no litmus test for them, as in the 10 commandments or rhyme or reason. C.U.R.E.

you all convinced me

I need to be there!

Please come out after work and bring your family and friends. It should be a great event with so many patriots in one place.

that I can hear either of the wonderful Dr's Paul speak in person, is a grand day indeed. Don't care what state. Freedom knows no state boundaries. Have it in pen on the calendar, counting the days.

I hope he's careful around

I hope he's careful around Beck, that guy has slime all over him.

For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

Not A Good Idea

If Rand Paul raises money in NYC, it will be all over the media in Kentucky. Questions will be raised. Who will he represent NYC or Kentucky? His opponents will beat him over the head with this.
Is he going to announce his run to be Kentucky senator in NYC? This may be a fatal mistake.

grass roots is a good idea

That's ridiculous. Of course it is a good idea. Trey Grayson probably gets tons of dirty money from some big pot f money in the RNC but if Rand gets it from the grassroots its perceived as a bad thing?! thats ridiculous.

Of course Grayson will get money

from special interests. You can bet the Louisville Courier-Journal will endorse Grayson. This biggest, most influential newspaper, very liberal part of the Gannett chain, will be looking for ways to derail Rand.
Grayson is an old Kentucky name, and that sort of thing matters here. It's very difficult to beat the establishment. Wonder who will win Grayson County?
I'll be supporting Rand. Just hope he doesn't give the opposition ammunition.

Right - A GREAT idea.

Rand Paul, like his father, is not corruptible.

On the contrary, I think it will show the widespread, grassroots appeal of his message - the message of Constitutional Republicans.

He can beat his opponents back over their own heads as to why they are so out of touch with the direction of the party.

If he does announce his intention in NYC the message will send is that this country is in a fight for its life. It is not just about Kentucky. It is about the entire country. Ron Paul always refers to his congressional seat as "our seat" - the seat that represents the regular people of this country.

Rand gives us the chance to do the same thing in the Senate - to have a seat that belongs to us. Not one that is corrupted by the powers that be with the most money to throw at a corruptible dupe.

This is not a fatal mistake. He'll get so much buzz that it will eclipse any possible negatives. People love a star. People want a representative that is famous, with star power.

This kind of star power makes the presidency a real possibility. Has there ever been a president from Kentucky? Remember that Obama was only in the Senate for a few years before he ran for, and won the Presidency.

No joke people, it can happen with our support.

President from Kentucky

Zachary Taylor was from Kentucky.

No one should ever forget how shabally Beck treated Dr. Paul during the Presidential campaign or the conscienceless shillin he did for his fellow Mormon, Romney. As for Murdock, he was relentless in having Hannity O'Reilly constantly savage Dr. Paul so th

Michael, if he takes that path I hope you're right, but if he's seen as not running to represent Kentucky, his opponents will beat him over the head with it. Being a "national" candidate here is a difficult task, but maybe he can pull it off. I'm voting for Rand and will give on Aug.20.
PS Zachary Taylor, president for a short time, is buried in Louisville, and of course Lincoln was born here.

Rand Paul's campaign staff seems to leave much to be desired.

Why is it that the hired staff is such a millstone for the Pauls?

I hate to be a PIA on this but the question is rearing itself already.

I disagree also. From my

I disagree also. From my dealings with the campaign, everyone is top notch.

I disagree

I know some of these guys and so far they've done OK. Rand needs to make a BIG splash for the bomb and if he can do so outside of KY for now he should. McConnell will be sure to trot out his hand-picked poodle to every GOP fest in the country. The crap they send out about "raising money from Kentuckians" is a bunch of BS. These are bundled funds from the wine and cheese GOP crowd strait from DC to KY.

State Fair

I hope Rand's staff has a prime booth in the exposition hall at the state fair. It's a great way to introduce yourself to the people. Thousands walk by those booths. Rand should be there shaking hands.

Bump

I'm going to check my schedule to see if I can make it.

Right Michael. On Aug. 15 in Galveston, there will be Dr. Paul's
Birthday Bash, with Judge Napolitano and Barry Goldwater Jr. Some from our meetup group here in L.J. will be there for that. Can't wait.
