Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). I have
immediately done just that at:http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congressmen should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families.

I believe I read or heard that Rep. Paul Ryan introduced a bill that would require all members to drop their current coverage and sign onto Obamacare, if they voted for it. but that it was quickly squashed like a bug.. don't know the bill number.

Please! Help get this info spread Fast,Far and wide. while congress is on vacation. See if they are having any TownHall meeting's in your area, and ask them, Why wouldnt they wont to have the same healthcare they are trying to push on us.

This only urges members to take the dogcrap healthcare---we need an amendment that forces all federal employess, pensioners, congress and the president to get the national healthcare. Otherwise they must provide and pay for their own private insurance. Let's see how many of them vote for this garbage then.

I agree
this is weak and I also agree that it prolly won't go far....but at least it's Something and every little thing we can come up with right now that has Any potential to help us is worth a couple of minutes imho. Here in our state, we are deluging our only Congressman with it -- asking him to co-sponsor it and vow to personally adopt whatever they force on us.
