Rand's picture on the front of the Louisville Currier Journal
http://www.courier-journal.com/
An excerpt:
"Paul also aimed some of his attacks at Conway, saying that during a recent debate he wouldn't take a firm stand on cap and trade. “He spoke for 20 minutes and I still have no idea where he stands on cap and trade,” Paul said. “He's kind of against it a little bit, and he's kind of for it a little bit, but he's not quite certain, and he wants to keep his powder dry.”
Paul promised to introduce legislation that would require all members of Congress to read bills before voting on them and to try to amend all budget bills to ensure they are balanced.
And he criticized both parties for hypocrisy, noting that South Carolina Republican Gov. Mark Sanford ran touting his family values and then took off to Argentina to meet his mistress.
As for the Democrats, he said they have typically raised taxes but haven't always paid theirs, a reference to admissions by several Obama administration nominees during confirmation hearings earlier this year."

I only saw Mayor Jerry Abramson's pic there.

Ron Paul for Senate
While we are busy chasing long-shots like Rand in Kentucky and Schiff in Connecticut, a plum lies sitting in front of us in Texas ready to be plucked, and perhaps fairly easily. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, establishment Republican from Texas has announced she intends to resign her Senate seat in October to challenge Gov. Rick Perry in the Republican primary for governor. This will require a special election in May to select her replacement. This will be only for the unexpired term of her Senate seat. Turnouts in special elections are notoriously small. The commitment and enthusiasm of the supporters will be of paramount importance. It is certain there will be many candidates as anyone can file.John Sharp is widely viewed as the strongest Democrat, although no Democrat has won a statewide election in Texas in many years. The last Democratic candidate to carry Texas in a Presidential election was Jimmy Carter over 30 years ago. No Democrat has won a Senate race since Lloyd Bentsen in 1982.A win in this special election by Ron Paul would do more to advance the chances of Rand in Kentucky and Schiff in Connecticut than anything else could and it would get fantastic national coverage. The Country Club Republicans will all be behind David Dewhurst, who is personally wealthy and get the support of the Establishment. These same people will also prefer Hutchinson to Perry,
Although Perry is not populr with most Ron Paul people, if Perry would give him the interim appointment, the Ron Paul people will all vote for him against Hutchinson. This looks like a set up for Ron Paul to win an Senate seat and all resources shoule be poured into this. A victory here and Rand and Schiff's fund raising would really take off!!I know Dr. Paul is inhis seventies and the effort and strain of campaiging over a State the size of Texas might seem formidable. But the lift to the movement for constitutional government would be incredible! He would not have to resign his Congressional seat. All resources we could lay our hands on could go into this effort. His Presidential campaign has made him better known than any of the Republicans. I am strongly opposed to tilting at windmills, but in this race Dr. Paul could be the favorite. He should easily beat Dewhurst who is the favored Establishmen candidate. An opportunity like this seldom prsents itself and should not be missed. He has bravely run so many seemingly impossible campaigns and here is one where he could be the favorite or near favorite! Texas has 19 media markets so campaings here are not cheap! Dallas and Houston have traditionally dominted Republicna primaries, but this will be a special election, the only race on the ballot, and the one-gallus boys at the forks of the creek could be decisive!
No one should ever forget how shabally Beck treated Dr. Paul during the Presidential campaign or the conscienceless shillin he did for his fellow Mormon, Romney. As for Murdock, he was relentless in having Hannity O'Reilly constantly savage Dr. Paul so th
Don't waste time on "long shots" EXCUSE ME!!!
You are wrong, if we didn't pour our hearts into campaigns for "long shots" Dr. Paul and our movement would never be where they are. Schiff and Paul's Senate races must receive our utmost support.

I wouldn't vote for Perry
no matter what he did for Ron Paul unless God himself explained to me why I should. BUT, I would lie (like he has) and say I would vote for him. If Texas elects Hutchison, I need to move. How stupid could we get. Out of the frying pan into the fire. Idiots.
Are you even from Texas ?
I know Perry talks the talk especially when campaigning.but Perry would never ever support Paul not in your wildest imaginenation and you sound like you do have one.Perry has already thrown his support for senate to our railroad commisioner Mike Williams anyway.
Senate race and Rick Perry
I am a fourth generation Texan. Not many of us. Ron Paul followers have little use for Perry and the feeling is mutual. But Perry knows he is in the fight of is life against Hutchison and is the underdog at thie time. Giving the interimappointment to Ron Paul could quickly pick him up thousands of votes he would not otherwise get.

Cap and Trade
Does the average voter know what "Cap and Trade" is? Does he care?
It's on!
Good move for Rand to point out Conway's lack of stance on Cap and Trade. It's time to show the neocons that the Republican party needs to truly stand for fiscal conservatism and not just act like it. Go get em' Rand! Show no mercy!
I like this part:
"Paul promised to introduce legislation that would require all members of Congress to read bills before voting on them..."
Amen to that. It should be a given, but alas, we know different.
I read something concerning this yesterday
The writer said that he/she had been there and that the crowd seemed attuned to the words of democrat turned repub Grayson. I don't have alot of faith in "The People" coming out of their coma and making good choices where govt is concerned, but if a guy switches parties to make a run at an office that has to tweak a few antennas of the populist republicrats. I think it was subtle disinfo. Why would these populist republicrats hang their hats on a democan when the only reason he switched NON parties was to run for a senate seat. To me that would end him for me right there. His actions don't show alot in the way of loyalty...(Grayson that is) You can bet he'd stab anyone in the back including the people he's plying for votes. I hope that Rand will make an issue of this fact.
Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow
Maybe something like that will help people see...
...that the Republican/Democrat thing is an illusion.
If Rand makes too much of an issue on Grayson's switch, though, there will be those who will be sure to point out how Ron Paul ran as Libertarian then Republican. Not saying it's the same thing, but others might not see it that way.
On a different note...
This was a bold statement: “My job now is to fight domestic enemies and there are a lot of them,” Johnson told the crowd. “Obama is one of them.”
Wow, dude called Obama a domestic enemy.
One needs no partisan label
Simply refer to him as Former Clinton Staffer Grayson.
