Hopefully he will win new supporters

I trust it will be a strong showing for RP, and I hope they put up a sheet of b.p.glass between him and the audience. Sadly everyone in this country is not on the same page. I pray that God keeps this man safe wherever he goes.

This is a really great opportunity

I can only hope that Ron will prepare specifically for the audience. His message is broad and powerful, inclusive to all. However, it would probably be beneficial to focus on issues that the average viewer cares about. I think he'll get a fair shot. The View is a good show, Elizabeth excluded.

For one, I hope he takes

For one, I hope he takes time to explain the inefficiencies and wastefulness of big govt to this targeted audience.

I don't think he should just bluntly say we need to cut the Dept. of Education, Dept. of Energy, etc. That's inconceivable to people that have taken these programs for granted their whole lives. If I went up to somebody on the street and said "should the government cut the Dept. for Prenatal Health and Development," they'd probably be like "omg no!" even though the department doesn't exist. They see it as this person doesn't value education, energy policy, or babies.

I'd like to see him say he values education, but the Department of Education has done more harm than good, etc. Also, offer an explanation of how these responsiblities could be managed in the future, so as not to leave a vacuum of uncertainty in the listeners mind.

I'm sure he'll be great no matter what.

I'm very confident this can

I'm very confident this can be nothing but good for Dr. Paul.

Joy Behar has already given

Joy Behar has already given him a great plug in the past talking about how much sense he made in the debate regarding the Iraq war. I would think Barbara Walters would be professional - but wouldn't put it past her to ask something like 'some people say your crazy, an isolationist, an extremist - how do you answer that?' - a waste of time question. Whoopi could be good. The best thing that could happen would be if Elizabeth were there and challenged him hard with her neo con pro-Bush stances. He is always better when challenged. We know that on Leno, while good, he would have been far better if challenged more.

Overall, it can only be good and, like Leno, will reach a different audience. I just hope he gets a decent amount of time.

I wonder how Ron will deal

I wonder how Ron will deal with so many women talking at the same time.

Collectivism is slavery.

Oh Come On

He's an OB/Gyn, he knows how to talk to the ladies.

Abortion

I think if there's any controversy, it will probably be about Ron Paul's pro-life views. But other than that it should be a great interview.

Hmm... but as an OB he will

Hmm... but as an OB he will get just as much respect from the audience. It would be kind of sad to see Elizabeth Hasselbeck (spelling?) flounder around trying to push her brand of alternate reality on Dr. Paul.

This will Be interesting!

I'm not sure how this is going to go but it will be very interesting. I wonder if they will give him a fair shake or just gang up and bash him.

Well considering

that in that setting the imbalance of intelligence between him and that dynamic is so great that they are probably on two completely different spectrums, I'm sure that the chance of him being bashed isn't even a viable option. The worst that could happen is pure befuddlement, which isn't all that bad in the first place.

I watch the View when I can

I watch the View when I can , and I guarantee you Joy would LOVE Ron Paul (she already does), barbara walters is a professional and would give Ron fair questions. Whoopi would love Ron just on his libertarian views - being able to do what we want when we want, she seems to be for that I've noticed...if Elizabeth Hasselbeck is back, she might cause some trouble but I doubt she will be cos she just had a kid. and it's not like she has any basis for her arguments. Ron Paul would make her cry on national tv. The crowd would love Ron Paul. and I bet they'd give away his book for free or something like that.

I mean, Bill O'Reilly was well recieved on the View.

and so was this dude who kept saying stuff like "the government wants to tell you what to do" and then they talked about Ron Paul (this was a couple months ago)
