He is from the establishment, and they will be pumping him in the very near future. On his facebook page he listed his favorite books as "Atlas shrugged" and "road to serfdom". He looks and sounds good, but he voted for the auto bailouts and others, and has written a couple of letters to the Wall Street Journal "praising the fed". If those were his favorite books, he obviously didn't understand them very well.

"Mr. Ryan, I hope you are strict constitutionalist and a civil Libertarian and a true Free Market person in the form of Von Mises. "Government isn't the solution, it's the problem.""
Thomas Jefferson once said, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground."

Concening Blue Dog Democrats and the health care bill, politico.com recorded this from Obama:

Barack Obama , quoted by politico.com,
The most terrifying words in the English language are: "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help!"-- Ronald Reagan
(the Leslie Phillips quotes will be back in this space when either the bill passes and is signed, or dies, I pray and work for the latter)

To Katrina: "You're using capitalist rhetoric to try and move a plan that is inherently anti-market."
Nice try, Kat.

Not eating crap, exercising, taking care of yourself, not smoking or drinking like a fish. Secondly in the event you go to a doctor it's the market that determines your doctor not an insurance company. If the doctor is a crappy doctor he doesn't do business and perhaps finds another profession. Insurance companies and govt intervention are the problems with the doctor/patient relationship. This has been the intent from the outset to control who does and doesn't get care and perhaps survive. The responsibilities of the govt are enumerated in the Constitution
and they don't include managing healthcare. I hear some of these congresspeople advocating govt intrusion into healthcare but denouce auditing the FED....WTF

Now there is a great spokesman for liberty...
"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."

Yeah, I liked that part too.
But he could have said "fascist" instead of anti-market.
Bump for Congressman Ryan!
Smart man! Good interview responses!
Lying liars...
caught in a lie...I really like how the MSM folks danced around their misunderstanding (porposeful?) of the healthcare options for Congress.
