Why I think Orly Taitz is Controlled Opposition/Smokescreen
I have been following the birth certificate issue since the Clinton campaign first brought it up early last spring. I thought that during the primaries, it would come out as a bigger issue, but I guess Hillary and Obama got their job assignments in June and the issue went away for a little while. Then along comes Phil Berg with a rock-solid case based on Obama's own writings and "official" story. I won't go into Berg's case, because that's not really the topic of this post, but let's just say, the guy's got a hell of a case. Finally, after months and months of courtrooms and motions, Berg gets his day in the national spotlight to really lay out his case in a clear and concise manner in front of a large audience at the National Press Club on Dec 8, 2008. Two days later, we learn of Orly Taitz, a russian dentist/realtor/lawyer who claims to have proof of Obama's Kenyan birth and a lawsuit of her own.
Instantly, the case gets a little attention, then a little more, until "birthers" are born. Then Taitz gets an Army officer out of deploying with no resistance from the government and suddenly the "birthers" are everywhere. Orly Taitz ha managed to successfully twist a solid quest for the truth into a wild-eyed withchunt that, unfortunately by association, hurts Berg's chances of getting his rational and verifiable case heard.
In addition to the timing and nature of Orly Taitz's "birther" movement, other things concern me about her too. Every time I have ever gone to any page on her blog, my spyware program pops up and says a trojan downloader is trying to enter my computer, "luckysploit" it's called. It also concerns me that Phil Berg is suing her and he's never demonstrated anything but solid character to me. Finally, the "other" birth certificate or certificate of birth has many questionable aspects that have been covered in other threads and extensively online. Remember, this thread is not about whether Obama is natural born or not, it's obvious he's not, it's about how that fact comes out and how well it can be proven. Berg's case(s) are peerless but he's being drowned out by someone who can easily be "debunked" (quotes because in a match of forgeries, the winner is whoever has the most credibilty with the general public). At this point, it seems the entire "birther" movement is screaming "Show us a good forgery of a Hawaiian Birth Certificate". And it's being led by Orly Taitz. If you think Obama can't come up with a perfect forgery of a Birth certificate, you're a moron. This case is about much more than a single piece of paper. You cannot forget that we are truly at war with these people and they can and will use dirty tricks to win. I think Orly Taitz may be one of those tricks.

At 6:00 pm EDT 8/6 Mike's thread is "2 days 22 hours" old according to DP's forum index (http://www.dailypaul.com/forum/177). (At 5:46 it was 2 days 21 hours.) Therefore the esteemed Mike posted it at 8:00 pm EDT 8/3 or slightly before.
At Politijab, "Koyaan" claimed to have found the Bomford certificate, without giving any credit to Mike or Daily Paul (http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:G7tnJ_dMb7EJ:politijab.c...), and his post is dated 10:36 pm 8/3, which Politijab's forum index confirms is EDT also (http://politijab.com/phpBB3/index.php).
Salon is giving credit for discovery of Bomford to "Steve Eddy" (http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2009/08/04/australia_...), which it implies (and Free Republic believes) is the same as Koyaan. However, Mike has clearly demonstrated earlier publication priority by over 2.5 hours.
I think Salon's misimplication is worthy of correction, but I don't care to create a Politijab or Salon account today. Could someone copy these paragraphs over there please?

I don't think Biden would be next in line if Obama gained office by fraud. In fact everything he's done would have to be overturned.

The preponderence of high-ranking military clients is very fishy to me. I saw the press conference, but I don't trust words or pictures. I'm beginning to wonder if she did actually get the military to back down.

Hurtful to the cause? Almost certainly.
Claiming she is controlled by the opposition, however, is a paltry attempt to protect the liberty movement from itself. Many of her supporters (I'm sure you could find a couple on this board), would be willing to step in as the leader of her particular sect with no governmental encouragement.
You cannot pass off all negative parts of a movement as tricks from the opposition. Even people in the pursuit of liberty can be misguided.

She took a good beating the other day on msnbc, yes. If you didnt know better you may see her as nutty. But the truth is the media love her- and maybe to their detriment. EVERYONE in the media is feeding on her- olbermann, maddow, o reilly -all of them. She has become the one thing they all can agree is a "joke". But what is happening is people are asking the question "where is the REAL BC, then?" . She seems to be clowning the all-important question right into everyones livingroom. Why use her to overshadow Berg? Why not use some unassociated headline to accomplish that? The mysterious death of Susan Boyle or something. Birthers dont look stupid in all this- the media just looks froth-mouthed and caustic. I think she's one of ours- its not like we havent had embarrassing friends in the past lol.

Yes Obama can employ people to create a 'perfect' forgery, but it will still be a forgery--I mean really you think they can hyper age paper? Plus on top of that there are orders to do this. Some expert somewhere in America is being told they have to create a forgery for the 'good' of the country. The more you lie and bullshit, the more you get caught up in your own web.
The whole point about the issue is to keep fighting--the facts are just fuel, the real fight is always a gotcha media game and it always has been.

...Bob Barr when he came on the scene in this last presidential campaign.
I hesitate to throw Orly under the bus, but I have wondered why we are not hearing about Berg and his case.

After seeing her on msnbc, i got the feeling that she is genuine - but is being GIVEN the airtime because they think she'll screw up- even if she dosnt mean to. Berg is a bit more solid so they avoid him.
