Black Helicopters in your area?
In Bartlesville, Oklahoma today we've had 4 black (actucally dark grey) helicopters taking off from our small airport, flying over our little town in formation, landing back at the airport... then doing it all over again. They have no markings on them, so we took a ton of pictures and looked them up.
They are the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Light Helicopter.
Army factfile says they do this...
Conduct armed reconnaissance, security, target acquisition and designation, command and control, light attack and defensive air combat missions in support of combat and contingency operations.

Nice to finally see what everyone has been talking about, but I was a tad uneasy having 4 helicopters over our town most of the day armed with hellfire missles and a 50 cal machine gun...
Anyone else seeing them?

Haven't noticed where I live. There are helicoptors that frequently fly over my house, though, because of a hospital very close by so I tend to tune them out.
I saw two of those exact ones here in Cincy for the first ...
ever, on Thursday last week.
The ones with the eyballs above the blades.
Very slow moving at the time, like a traffic bird.

C130 maybe.. was only 100 ft over our heads.. this was at Lake Hartwell in upstate SC. Was amazing, never saw anything like it before..

I have seen 4 black-hawks low in formation and 5 c117's REAL low, 3 in a single file group and 2 and hour later separately and one Osprey V-22 doing doughnuts in the sky at low altitude. All right after sunset...

I lived in Bartlesville as a kid
And worked for Superior Welding in the late 70's. They had government contracts to build several military vehicles and tools. Are they still there?

Tho they are pretty heavy into Conoco-Phillips right now as opposed to anything military, I think. And Superior Tools still!
