The AP takes aim at the "dangers of smoking pot"

It seems to be more than a coincidence that this Associated Press article was a yahoo news top story. It seems to me that the timing of this article is an attempt to subliminally create an emotional response against recent marijuana legalization proposals. This article is an attempt to correlate smoking marijuana and fatal car accidents when in reality someone driving with twice the legal BAC is the issue. Do you agree?

Story on the cover of USA

Same story on the cover of USA Today - crash fatality atoposy revealed driver was drunk and "smoked marajuana within an hour of the crash".

First of all, I used to administer both DOT and non-DOT urinalysis in the maritime industry. THC stays in the bloodstream for weeks after exposure, I wonder how the determination was made concerning amount of intoxication at the time of the crash?

Second, has anyone ever seen a report on TV or in print attributing a highway accident to prescription antidepressants? I haven't. Surely it occurs. Drugs such as Xanax drastically affect neuromuscular response and general awareness.

Third, and most importantly - pharmaceutical companies are huge MSM advertisers and any drug that eases stress, pain, and the effects of depression that someone can grow in their own home presents a HUGE PROFIT RISK.

"think" about it....

I don't see your point. I

I don't see your point. I can't find where that article takes up the "dangers of pot smoking." As far as I can tell the dumb bitch drove drunk with 8 kids after downing a bottle of vodka. It's very clear to me that alcohol was the cause of the accident, not being "high". If she were high enough she would have slowed down and gotten on the right side of the road, being high keeps you in check, no?
