8/5/09 - You Tube Pulls Hundreds Of Ron Paul Videos
You Tube has expanded its zealous copyright crusade by suspending the popular C-Span Junkie user channel, and in doing so has pulled hundreds of viral Ron Paul videos, which are now completely dead.
The C-Span Junkie user channel, a non-partisan archive of short clips taken from C-Span broadcasts of events in the Congress and the Senate, has been the home of the vast majority of You Tube videos you have seen of Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson and others being confronted in Congress, as well as Ron Paul’s speeches on the House floor. A total of more than 6400 videos in all have been pulled, hundreds of which featured the Texan Congressman.
Whether or not C-Span itself requested that You Tube pull the channel is not known, but it is clearly in the public interest and constitutes fair use to show a clip less than 10 minutes in length of what the people who are supposedly our Representatives are saying in Congress on our behalf.
As we have highlighted before, You Tube arbitrarily suspends accounts based on flimsy copyright claims that aren’t even properly investigated.
We had our own You Tube account suspended following a copyright complaint from a separate party who didn’t even own the copyright on the original material. In addition, the copyright claim was clearly erroneous as it was based on the fact that Alex Jones held up a printed version of an online newspaper story for a few seconds on camera. The channel was eventually reinstated after You Tube received a flood of complaints.
“I don’t know if you can imagine what it’s like to in a moment see 6400 videos gone,” writes the channel owner on the C Span Junkie website, “Figure 6400 hours (easily) poof GONE! I did this for the common good and now it all gone.”
The channel has now been replaced with a new account but it’s unlikely to survive long if the owner dares to post anything of substance.

They took down Alex Jones also.
He got his put up again. Ask him what he did to get this reversed. Perhaps he could help you.
Why?
What reason did YouTube give for deleting your channel? As I've said before less content means less money for YouTube so it doesn't behoove then to delete content without a reason.
Someone said you put up a video attacking me?

I see a bubble
When the rEVOLution took off there was allot more freedom on the net, which YouTube had allot of porn... way too much, you couldn't YouTube without seeing it, and conspiracy theory vids... Tone of it, and university lectures from Harvard yale... you could YouTube lectures and do research on what you were finding on YouTube. And how many times did I click on a YouTube and ask myself, "How is this not censored, but Ron Paul is?" Why the censorship of presidential candidates, but not conspiracy theory?
But that has been changing. There are not so many conspiracy theories, and YouTube has ads, and the ads are what are being pushed, independent are being censored and buried.. you can not just send someone a link or a movie as you could when Ron Paul is campaigning.
It's as if this is a two year time period when Conspiracy theory was on YouTube, to limited versions, and now limited to advertized.
Two years ago you could YouTube a number of movies, watch the whole movie. Then you watched them cut the movies up to 10 minute sections, now they have ads and tons of trailers and very few movies.
It is as if there was a conspiracy culture created on the net by YouTube... those who were on YouTube from 2006 to 2009 were exposed to conspiracy theory. Why?

I never even put that together when they kept repeating over and over Ron Paul supporters are "conspiracy theory people". I guess that is true. We have seen more conspiracy theory stuff just by virtue of getting our news from the Internet and specifically YouTube.

and all I ever saw was just freaking cspan footage!! We've got to the point where they are scared for people to see them speak their own words on now. How long before every session of the House and Senate is a closed door session?
