I feel torn by this argument as well, and, like Cody in the video, I am 100% against the right-left Republican-Democrat paradigm that has monopolized to polarize and stupefy. With the help of the government-controlled mainstream media, they eliminate 99.9% of opposition to this elitist, fascist club that is big government, major party politics as usual. I hate them. I wish they would just go away.
However, I am in agreement with Dr. Paul and Peter Schiff in this case because (and they disappointingly failed to bring up the point in this video) the simple fact of the matter is that we are out of time. We cannot sit idly by while what's left of our rapidly crumbling Republic is laid to waste by the totalitarian State we have unleashed upon it. Yes, there are fundamental principles to uphold, and yes it does feel a little wrong and perhaps even hypocritical to "join em" in order to "beat em", but the fact remains that if we sit on our thumbs spouting rhetoric and waste the efforts of our best and most promising men NOW, we may not have time to reap the benefits of the cracks they might make in the 2-party system down the road because there may very soon be no more road left for us to tread. We have to act. I don't care if Rand and Peter ran as Democrats, just so long as their message is heard in an election. The Monster seemingly can't be killed from without, so I believe it's time to try to kill it from within.
He tells Peter to run Independent? Like Peter said he'd simply split the Dodd opposition vote. The hard core neocons would vote for Joe Schmoe with an (R) by the name and the informed independents/libertarians would vote for Peter. This would be a surefire way of Dodd keeping his job.
If Peter wins the Republican nomination and has that (R) next to his name on the ballot, he'd get the neocon and liberty lover vote which would = Chris Dodd filing for unemployment. Cody's stupidity and stubbornness over this is simply baffling to me.
On a different note, my rant for today is, any voter that FAILS in Kentucky and votes for Trey Greyson will be deserving of every horrible thing that happens to this country. It's passed the point in time of "fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again"...ahh hell GW knows wtf I'm talking about.

It's not professional, it shows an extreme lack of professionalism. First thing in my mind is if Fox has to sell sex on a news show the content has to be crap. Aside from Rand, Peter and Judge Napolitano I was right.
The Fox anchors (or whatever they are) were rude and moronic, I've got a feeling thats exactly how they see their viewing audience.

Free market economics...it makes sense. The television is a visual medium. In addition, television news is largely a form of entertainment. It wasn't always like that but it has evolved to that because of the internet (an alternate source for the news) and the change in what audiences are interested in. Most aren't interested in the substance, especially, again, with the influence from the internet. I mean in some ways I'm really not interested in what they have to say. I can research the information myself. I may watch it to hear the events of the day or week or whatever. I accept the fact that the television news is a form of entertainment and that the companies will do what they will do to increase their revenue. If you want to shout at someone, shout at the viewer. However, if you think it through you will eventually realize television as a medium is dead.

to be president?? Cause when he first came on tv and said the fed was bad, many of you were ready to support him as a candidate. That video was maybe 4 minutes. This one was about 10. Check yourself. If you thought after 4 minutes a guy should be president and now after 14 you think he's a putz, how's your judgement?? Are you swayed by nice words? Cody Willard for president! No wait, fire him! Well, maybe in a few weeks---after your memory has erased all memory of this---he'll say a good one liner so we can all love him again.
Let the sheep have the tv.

And props even to Cody, who I never took seriously. Although I disagree with his proposed strategy, he was right on the money in describing the Repubs as "socialist/fascist."

Both Rand and Peter were terrific in fielding the questions and being witty and likable. I wasn't too impressed by Cody as I agree completely with the strategy of Rand, Peter, and Napolitano. I don't care about the label and how ugly it has become -Republicans need to take back the party from the corrupt party bosses, breath new life and integrity into it, and return it to sound principles and bring in new people. The libertarians came from disenchanted Republicans for the most part who have been trying for years to brand a new party of principle and they are getting nowhere. All they have gotten is marginalized as the 2 main parties dominated access to ballots through politics, corruption, legislation, and collusion with government. We can't afford to build the perfect party and change all the laws and the whole political paradigm. We need to use the vehicle that has the ability to make it to DC, not try to get there on a magic carpet.
Good debate...too many interruptions
