If your government denies you medical treatment for macular degeneration until you are blind in one eye, that would be grounds for political asylum. It's slow torture. This is a great interview, with reasoned answers that you don't hear from many other people. Let's have 16 years of the Paul dynasty in the presidency.

Don't forget to write the show and thank them for a respectful interview! The reason Ron and Rand are interviewed so frequently is (in part) because the liberty movement is so vocal.
Man, this is exciting! you got Schiff, Rand, Kokesh, Ron, Harris! If all that happens and they get into office this will be just the beggining in taking our country back from the slimeballs in washington. The Revolution Continues!!!!

made my day!
Hope this encourages other like minded individuals to step up to the plate. By the way, interesting perspective on our health care vs. UK's from an eye doctor. Will have to google Avastin. We need more doctors not lawyers in the gov. to help sort out a fairer health plan for all.
just think for a moment where America and freedom would be if Ron Paul's ancestor did not choose to come to America.

I am very impressed with Rand's various interviews recently. He answers the questions well and is positioning himself to appeal to the Republican base but also perhaps the democrats that he might win over to beat the democrat he may be up against. He always returns to examples that apply to regular citizens like the rising cost of food, lack of health care choices and access to specific medical procedures. He is careful to give blame also to the Republicans and prior administration as well as the democrats. I think he will do well if he continues to get airtime even if he doesn't get the backing of the GOP leadership. Just think, if he got a senate seat he could be the one introducing all the companion bills to RP's congress bills. Its pretty exciting!
He has everything from smarts to good looks to win any position he seeks.

When he is asked why he is running he should answer because the opportunity is finally there with what happened with my dad's presidential campaign. I've thought this over for some time and from the confluence of events, my dad's campaign, the economy, the war, the corruption, etc., I now have a fighting chance and want to add my effort and voice to the overall struggle to change the government and better the country. He shouldn't give his own specific rationale and appear as an individual separate from his dad because his dad is the very reason he is running. It's BS. That's the reason he's running and he's running now because he has a chance to win. That's it. The rest is implicit and secondary.
he knows he can count on our financial support without which he would have no chance.

I didn't mean he is specifically running because of his dad...as in following some sort of mandate or whatever. I am saying the opportunity exists because of him or what happened with the campaign. He should acknowledge instead of having the pretense that he his his own person. He isn't in the capacity. He is benefiting from the presidential campaign. So whether he is running because of "us" or his dad, I think we can agree it is because of the presidential campaign and the consequences of it. It's wrong for him to pretend it was something he thought of independently. That's a blatant lie.
I agree.
Without presidential campaign and its terrific fundraising 35 million $ there would probably be no Rand Paul run for a Senate seat.

and I kind of agree with that point of yours....sadly....but think of it he is on national TV trying to gain supporters.....politics is a brutal sick game.To win one has to get the brainwashed ones to vote for you.No time to play nice here.

CNN gives Rand Paul an "F"!!!
Look at the time 6:38. CNN switches the names and gives an "F" to Rand Paul. Was it an accident?

just had to take her shot and say that Ron Paul was a career politician.
Rand had to straighten her out, but he did so with amazing poise.

Rand wasn't planning to run for office for awhile (several
years) until their boys were older, but he saw what was happening with the bailouts, and decided there was not enough time and he needed to do it now.
