ps. If Glen Beck REALLY did all that (somehow I doubt it, and I think the media likes to blame Beck as an "extremist"), then his 9-12 project is amazingly more efficient then I would have expected.

What the news guy seem to fail to articulate is why the people were so pissed. The Town Hall meeting was sponsored by Organizing For America (the successor organization to Obama for America) and SEIU (Service Employees International Union) and I guess they wanted a nice and cozy meeting with Kathy Castor and her special interest groups so they could join in praise of Obamacare, but actual people showed up and while they waited in lines for hours, but the Obama fan club was brought in the back door and seated. Can you really call it a "Town Hall" meeting if you pick and choose what people in the town you let in?
As for it being Glen Becks fault, I would guess that he had as much control over it as Ron Paul had control over his meetups or money bombs. What the media seems to fail to notice is that there are a huge number of really pissed off Americans that are so sick of the games our government is playing with our lives. These people don't have to be paid or told what to say or do, just be told where and when their elected official will be and they want to show up and have their voice heard.

These poor Glen Beck people really thought they would be let in and could go and ask questions they had written down on their note cards.
The media also failed to report that Castor gave a 10 minute speech then ran out the back door before any questions were asked.
For all you that hate Glen Beck, try to remember that freedom is not about any individual. It's about an idea. We will never get 100% agreement on what it means to be free, but we only harm the movement towards freedom if we keep attacking anyone that dose not agree with us 100%. Go and google 'Tampa 9/12 meetup" and read what these people had to say about todays events. This meetup has 643 members, 111 attended this event and they have 9 more events planed this month. You may hate the man but the grass roots he has grown seems to be of good people.

I don't watch Beck very often but I do check him out periodically because he has some interesting commentary and guests. Today he had the Judge on. He also discussed this very subject and showed videos. The videos he showed compared and contrasted the protests in the town hall meetings versus some of the protests and behavior of liberals in other settings. What the liberals did was appalling. Now that was a brawl. The Town Hall meetings were people who were angry but civil. BIG difference. But who does the DNC say are the uncontrollable mob with their ridiculous commercials? Those who actually think for themselves and complain about what actually is going on, not what they feel.

This just found Video: Fist Fight(s?) at Tampa Townhall

The early reports are sketchy. But apparently a mob of teabaggers began to riot after some were not able to get into a townhall meeting in Tampa.
"As the building filled to capacity, angry protesters stuck outside began to scream, yell, and chant," reports local TV channel 10 in Tampa. "At one point, those trying to get inside began banging on windows as Tampa Police officers quickly spread out guarding all entrances."
A reporter currently inside the venue says at least one fist fight has already broken out.
Late Update: The event was hosted by Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL).
Later Update: We're getting overlapping reports. The Tampa Tribune reports to instances of "shoving and scuffles." It seems like at least one incident occurred in cases where teabaggers trying to force their way through the doors after event organizers manning the door were no longer letting more people in. Reports also suggest the teabag crowd was organized through Glenn Beck's "9-12 Project."
Still Later Update: Here's a page from the Tampa912 group's Meetup page. Discussions leading up to the event. Some whacked statements, all pretty far right, but mostly pretty garden variety, people getting charged up to hit the event and give their member of Congress an earful. Poke around. Fox News has taught Glenn Beck how to takeover Tea Parties and how to use strong arm tactics to his advantage. In this instance, he may use the: hit-and-run tactic (It wasn't me who did it.), or the bait-and-switch tactic (They misinterpreted my words.), or the rope-a-dope tactic (They got what they deserved.)
I hope that no one was injured or arrested with this incident.

I am getting sick and tired of these political leaders accusing the grassroots and TEA party protesters being sponsored by the Republicans party. I am also sick and tired of both sides of the aisle, Democrat and Republican.
Therefore, I propose that on September 4, 2009 that everyone send Sen. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi a small priority mail box full of grass roots along with a letter. I believe the postage will cost approximately 3 dollars for each box.
If others grassroots and TEA party like-minded people would send their representatives a handful of grassroots and mail it on September 4, the delivery date should be September 8, one day after Labor Day. It sure would be nice to see about 200,000 or more boxes of grassroots delivered to their addresses in Washington DC.
