How does Chris Dodd get his money?

Someone posted all of Dodd's big donors.

I recall a limit on both soft and hard money yet when you look at this list he has soft money donors that are donating hundreds of thousands.

I'm somewhat confused over how that happens with campaign finance law the way it currently is.

Hard money goes directly to him-- that's limited by campaign---

finance laws.

Soft money is contributed to loosely affiliated 3rd parties that don't take marching orders from Dodd, but work to get him elected.

At least that's my understanding of it.

Shameless semi-self bump. Dodd is bought and paid for. He'll have no problems spreading his BS thick on the people of CT. Goldman Sachs has pumped him with $127,950 between 2005-2010 (source: opensecrets.org) and AIG, which we've been told is "too big to fail" and has recieve $100+ billion in bailout loot, has stuffed him with $183,700. Schiff deserves a fair shot.

because he can suck a golf ball through a 20ft garden hose

Chock full of banks, insurance companies, and defense contractors. What a great patriot!

For comparison purposes

Here's what the contributor list of a true American patriot looks like:

Contributor Total Indivs PACs
1 US Army $79,956 $79,956 $0
2 US Navy $58,769 $58,769 $0
3 US Air Force $57,105 $57,105 $0

5 Microsoft Corp $48,673 $48,673 $0

This is from 2007-2008 campaigns. Notice 100% of the contributions came from individuals and 0% from PAC's

Oh BTW, this true patriot's name is Ron Paul.

This certainly....

sums up Dodd's position. He shouldn't be voted out of office, he should be imprisoned along with Pelosi, Fwank, Schumer, Rangel, Reid, and all the rest of this countries greatest usurpers!

well said patriot

naughty, naught

He and other politicians

He and other politicians receive sizeable contributions from the same companies that received bailouts from the Federal Reserve...so effectively...the Federal Reserve will subsidize Chris Dodd's 2010 campaign.

Only the acceptance of the truth can defeat systemic evil.

He is a crook

you can't expect rules to be followed by these people who care not for basic laws of creation.
