Whoever said a stadium full of people would revolt, watch this

Man, they really stood up for this guy didn't they? I'm not sure how many cops there were, but I think it's less than 175.

We are in serious trouble folks. The cops don't stop each other and the people run away.

exactly right Mike!

the sheep part like a dog just ran right into the mix of 500.

Were these stadium security or Oakland police??? I wouldn't have a problem getting into an altercation with a security guard, but the police are an entirely different story.

While we're making general observations...

Try to imagine women doing any of this.

I hate crowds

... you will never see me go to a concert or a ball game. For my son, I went to a White Sox or was it a Cubs game only almost to get into two fights. One, the beer vendor when he was opening beer cans was squirting beer on me, I told him if he does it again I was going to shove it up his ass. Two, was the lady behind me, every time someone hit a ball she would start pounding on my back, I told her the next time she does that, I was going to punch her husband. She looked at me as if I was crazy. Not my kind of people.

Same thing when flying, I like to put my seat back because my long legs. Every time I do there is usually a young lady behind me that starts kicking my seat. I turn around and tell her "I have a bad stomach, and I'm trying to keep it down, and if you keep kicking my seat, and if it comes up, I am going to put it right in your lap, and you ain't going to have time to get out of the way. I have gotten some mean looks from male companions, but it works !

How to win friends and influence enemies.

Threaten them with assault and Budweiser enemas.

I teach my grandchildren

... you only have one real friend in the world. Yourself !

Should I kiss you

... or kick you ?

I am right there with you Bonhomme!

I don't see your actions as being out of line. You stated that you first warned these people, which I myself also do before unleashing the inner demon that is my not so tolerant side.

So I ask, whats the problem people?? He stated he warned these folks after repeated occurrences, so what exactly is the issue here?

I myself had a situation about a month ago, where I was in an ice cream store waiting in line. The guy in front of me was being a complete jerkoff to his entire family. Then he was yelling at the high school girl behind the counter for absolutely nothing. As he turned around to leave he bumped into me, and had to say something smart. I let it pass. then when I walked back outside, the guy is standing there waiting to argue with me. So needless to say I told him "How do you think your son will think of you 10 yrs from now, when he remembers back to the time his Dad got the living shit beat out of him, for being a complete jerkoff dick?"

At this point he walked away and didn't want to engage me. Diffused situation.

Point being: When do you stand up for yourself and decent moral people?

Always.

Thanks

Lol, that's funny stuff dude...

Sorry. :) I just couldn't resist exploring the absurdity of a fantasy melee in which everyone who transgresses, with puzzled expression and vaguely threatening demeanor, gets something shoved rudely up the ass. I know the feeling so well; some days it just seems like everyone's out to get you, so naturally one must defend oneself in such circumstances by offering death and destruction to all those who just have to open their big mouths a liiiiittle wider. I'm happy to hear such conflicts were resolved, for the sake of your potential hapless victims. Stay strong, good Patriot!

Actually, I surprised there was a response at all!

Did you see farther down in the stands, cops were pushing back spectators who were trying to interfere. The response wasn't nearly as wild as the soccer match (gotta love soccer fans...they know how to protest!) but it was a confrontation all the same.

Thing is Mike

How much do you figure the cost of tickets for the game were? parking? a soda and hot dog? Most folks going to those games have what's called an investment in entertainment, that here in CA, to make safe, the city has police, the stadium, the teams, the concessions all have their own security, the CHP is in the parking lot, and there are camera's everywhere.

After the LA riots in 1992, and gang wars we have here, and the crime that nothing gets done, illegals, corruption.. the guy is in the wrong seat, he's drinking, he got tazed and no one is going to ruin their day over it.

He broke the rules and everyone's job here is to make sure they do not break the rules. We all know that we are outgunned, they have helicopters, tanks, guns, gas, bombs, cars, buses, vans, tazers, cuffs, batons, shields, radios, robots,... you want us to go ahead and make their day over a guy who doesn't know where his ass belongs?

Oakland AKA Oaksterdam is ground zero in the war on drugs for cannabis. Californians who live in Oakland and surrounding areas know, we don't mess with the cops unless we want a bill worth millions, months in jail, wounds we have to pay for, and a prison stay we have to pay for, and the car... geesh... we are all chained very tightly here and I hope we don't have another riot over some idiot,

No, I don't like the tazing. I myself walk away chanting, "STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT... I understand I am risking being tazed, as I'm sure the cops hear, "STOP IT", to mean "me next!" "me next".

I understand completely. Somebody last night said

if something like this ever happened, the whole stadium woul erupt in revolt. I disagreed.

I think folks realize there is no justice in America

The crowd would be justified in stopping it, but the cops would get off and the crowd would spend years in prison.

We live in a police state, even the folks that won't admit it, won't do anything to stop stuff like this because they know they will get their ass beat and put in jail.

With Liberty & Justice for all my ass.

experiment idea

Wouldn't it be cool if we could conduct an experiment to find out at what point an American crowd will stand up for an individual's rights?

Will they stand up for a middle age man being tazered? How about a snarky teenager, a pregnant woman, a senior citizen, a sexy college student, a retarded person, a person in a wheel chair?

Does the size of the crowd matter, or the size of the city? Would this have been accepted at a local softball game?

What if the cops start slapping a person in public repeatedly? How many slaps will it take until the crowd responds to defend the citizen?

What if the cops start to sexually molest a person with a night stick in public?

What would it take before the people make the cop stop?

The day that a crowd decides

The day that a crowd decides to join each other and stop a cop from harassing an individual is the day that we will know that we have won our country back.

I think that anyone who cares . . .

is waiting for someone else to take that first shot.

all i was able to see is a

all i was able to see is a verbal confrontation with a man very clearly intent not to follow any 'official' directives.

The crowds response was mostly fear. There was a voice of dissent or two but it was mainly passive. People usually watch this type of thing and actually feel a degree of entertainment as well. a small break in the otherwise disparate, boring repetition that they suffer from on a daily basis otherwise. a story to recount over a pint with friends while obliterating the mind of the painful truth of the trapped lives they all lead.

There is something to be said here about group psychology. At what point is too far for the officer's conduct to incite riot in the crowds - what is the turning point when the group's collective fear is overridden by their sympathies of the harsh treatment to the 'victim'.

One thing that must be said is that this guy isnt particularly absolved of self responsibility by any means. He is in a private venue and is expected to follow rules of the establishment he is willfully partaking in. Theres somethign to be said about who employs these 'cops'. are they privately hired security from the venue? are they state/local govt run officers? under what jurisdiction do they fall under, and as such, what type of response is lawful to utilize to dissenters? Once we can put the subjectivity aside and answer some of these basic questions only then can we understand what party was out of line and who should be praised and who should be scolded.

I was laughing out loud when they kicked the cop! LOLissimo!

the Oakland clip sucks though, they just want to see their game, solidarity is a foreign word I guess.
