The Freedom Movement and Schiff supporters rocked the State of Connecticut on Aug. 7th 2009.

There’s Big News in the Schiff camp tonight!! Thanks to all of the patriots who donated, Peter Schiff’s Fundraising Widget at www.schiffathon.com and www.schiffforsenate.com is showing over 759,000 and climbing has been raised in less than 30 days since Schiff announced his exploratory committee in mid July making Peter Schiff The top fundraiser in the GOP race for senate in the state of Connecticut in the 1st quarter. Republican candidates former Rep. Rob Simmons, who raised $754,000 through June 30, and businessman Tom Foley, a former ambassador to Ireland, who has pulled in $573,000 since launching his campaign June 3. Today, Peter Schiff sent a big message to the GOP and to Chris Dodd.

Almost 800K for the weekend.

That's around 150K taken in AFTER the money bomb day.

I'm sure there are some non-online payments in checks that have yet to go through also so we can safely say he's over the 800K if those are counted.

The fact that he hasn't even announced his candidacy should be the big story here. To tell you the truth, Schiff energizes me far more than Rand is at this point. Rand too often comes off as wishy-washy on the issues, while Peter speaks with an incredible amount of confidence and authority.

I think Peter Schiff will run away with the Republican nomination. Facing Dodd however will be tough. Let's continue giving him our support.

Rand does sound wishy-washy. I know he's not going to turn his back on the freedom movement but man, can someone teach him how to stop speaking like a republican politician and start speaking more like he loves freedom? He needs to be able to energize his core supporters, the freedom movement and I just don't see it. Yeah, we all know it, Rand, the republicans screwed up. But say something profound about freedom and why it's crucial to America. We like to hear these things.

of votes, charisma is a BIG factor. Not saying she should drop the logic; just saying IMHO he could be more effective. His dad has all the cool logic one might wish, but he also has the fire that underscores his passion for truth and justice.

Here in Connecticut its going to be up to the Schiff campaign to tell the media outlets what has happened. I'm sure the campaign will spread the word on Monday morning.

The most conservative talk radio is "The Talk of Connecticut" www.talkofconnecticut.com (888)574-2723. The morning drive time host is Brad Davis, Brad considers himself to be a Reagan Republican but he's much more of a pro-security(pro Patriot act) guy than Reagan. He takes a few calls but not a lot. The afternoon drive time host is Dan Lovallo. Dan show is more caller driven. He also strikes as being more open to different opinions. I THINK Brad is off on Monday and Dan is covering for him. It might be helpful to suggest that they have Schiff on as a guest.
