MSNBC's Morning Joe: Peter Schiff vs. the Fed

0 votes

Peter Schiff Thursday on MSNBC's Morning Joe. There is a ton of material in here besides the Senate discussion. Schiff articulates clearly that the financial crisis has passed but the economic one is still squarely upon us. His targets are moral hazard, Greenspan, Bernanke and the Fed. Scarborough mentions the SEC decision in 2004 that allowed leverage to balloon for the lucky 5, and also takes a shot at Paulson. Excellent discussion.

Today's corrupt news and journalism at its finest. Stay strong..

Mr. Schiff. Same tactics used on Peter Schiff as Ron Paul during the presidential campaign. Wake up people. The old stream media is not going to give opportunity for those running against the establishment.
Wanting to have a match off between O'donnell and Schiff is not news or journalism when one side is not allowed to respond to a question in some detail. This is the exact way the courts are being ran. Kangaroo style.
We must use what strengths and knowledge we have. Go to the streets, place of work, family gatherings,etc.etc.. I think you get the idea.
Take on the old stream media. We the people are stronger and are many more then the corrupt few. What would be wrong with having a panel of constitutional / liberty candidates sitting across from the old stream media panel. Let's say "The Judge Napol.", Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, Mr. Gelente, Tom Woods, etc.etc.. There are many out there who would probably jump at the oportunity if the odds were even in number along with a chance to respond. We already know that the establishment faces can not hold up to a one on one with the freedom candidates when given equal time.
Let us challenge any individual running for office and going against the constitution and liberty. This is our country not the old stream medias and the few elitist. Be confident and fight against the corruption of the status quo.

Ready for prime time

Fantastic job.

Peter Schiff is now rock solid in these venues. He can really think on his feet while remaining articulate, professional, and real. And I love some of those analogies... they are fresh and relevant. We need him. I was pleased to give on the money bomb day, and will give again if he takes the next step. He is very impressive.

Agreed

I'd vote for Peter Schiff in a minute. He was great in this lopsided interview.

That last guy reminded me of the kid with the raccoon hat and braces in the movie, "A Christmas Story." You know, the type of kid who pokes a stick at a tiger through the cage at a zoo?

"Special situation"...

That shill knows the special situation that Peter's dad is in. Pay attention to his facial expression after he finishes talking to Mr. Schiff. How dare he even go there! This guy is evil. Just for that I am going to donate again to Peter's campaign!

The guy at the end was using

The guy at the end was using a frontal assault tactic to see how Peter would respond. Peter was obviously agitated and he will see that tactic used against him in the future, but I'm sure Peter has figured that out by now and knows what to do next time. I think the best way to counter that tactic is to throw the same tactic right at them.

That was the same guy who

That was the same guy who interviewed Schiff on the Ed show...it was the biggest hit piece ever. Honestly, I think he is a CIA trained agent as I suspect there may be quite a few in the media.

You think so?

I think the key to beating those kind of shrill people is just to remain calm. How does it help if you become agitated like them?

Peter talks about his decision to move to the east coast...

I wonder why he didn't choose New Hampshire?

atrick: Euro Pacific Capital is in Connecticut

Euro Pacific Capital was founded in 1980 and headquartered in Westport, Connecticut.

Ya, I know he's in CN

Why didn't he move to NH tho? It's taxes are far lower according to what I've heard.

I think the Free State Project might be

even more attractive in a warmer state.

I think that's absolutely right

But there's no small states in the south. I think small states are crucial for this.

Schiff is from Connecticut. He probably calls it home.

Peter Schiff was born in New Haven, Connecticut and was raised in Manhattan and Miami. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987 with a degree in finance and accounting.

His father is Irwin Schiff, an American tax protester.

Career

Schiff began his career in brokerage with Shearson Lehman Brothers.[7] He launched Euro Pacific Capital in 1996 when he bought a broker-dealer in Florida without clients or revenues and then reincorporated the business in California. In 2005, Schiff relocated to Darien, Connecticut in order to find brokers "who think like him" according to an article in The Advocate of Stamford, Connecticut. The New York Metropolitan Area, he said, has the biggest concentration of brokers in the country, making it easier to recruit them.[8]
