I remember

I remember them being big Libertarians, they may have even supported Ron Paul. I wouldn't be so harsh just because they poke fun at the organic INDUSTRY.

What ever...like this was real scientific

If I eat non organic foods I have fibromyagia symptons if I eat organic
I don't. Explain that Penn and Teller.
Not to mention far to many non-organic foods(not fresh veggies) have msg
in them and that enhances the flavor so while it may taste good it is killing you.

I grow my own veggies and I don't use any pesticides except fossil shell flour to kill bugs and you can eat that stuff..in fact you should now and then anyway.

These guys absolutely drive

These guys absolutely drive me nuts...Bull**it is really nothing but Bull**it
they use lies and and untruths to "prove" their reality.
FACT... GMO does not produce more food....ask the farmers in third world countries who used to be able to feed themselves and their families...they are starving and committing suicide where the cost to go GMO with no till crap is breaking them while the actual crop is not coming like it is supposed to.....barren fields and no growth....
I will choose to eat cow pooped fertilizer crops over chemical fertilizer any day.....

Bear in mind P&T also did a

Bear in mind P&T also did a show defending the Warren commission report. Enough said.

I have one word for these NWO shills --- Polyface

Polyface, Inc. is a family owned, multi-generational, pasture-based, beyond organic, local-market farm and informational outreach in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley

CAUTION: G-Rated Video

What even the "all knowing" Penn & Teller don't know (obviously) is that the FDA contrived "Certified Organic" and it is NOT. Surprised?
It's illegal in AmeriKa to call real organic food "Certified Organic". Surprised?

Go get educated at Polyface Farms.

"GINO" = Government In Name Only

BS is BS!

OK, now I`m official over this show!!!

I mean, I`m open minded, I really wanted them to give me some information so I could stop spending extra money on organics--I was really hoping for something juicy to convince me that corporate food is OK. But the only evidence they could reveal was something from the American Cancer Society and we`re supposed to believe that??? The American Cancer Society--I don`t think you could find a more corrupt medical group except for maybe Big Pharm!!!

Listen to the guy saying this, Ron, he says it like a total sheep or like a child--like the American Cancer Society is like God or something--total BS!!!!

This show sucks!!!

The Usual Anti-Logic From Penn & Teller

Yeah, set up strawmen to ridicule, then ignore any serious information regarding an issue, thus "proving" advocates of a particular perspective are nuts. And of course, somehow their show always seems to come down on the side of large government-favored special interests. Funny how that is.

Yeah, these guys are real "libertarians."

Nutricide & Codex Alimentarius

Penn & Teller,

Debunk these.

hydroponics are the way to go.

With hydroponics you have total control over what you are growing. Sterile medium, filterd water, maximum nutrients, maximum air ratio and a closed loop system. With organic you still don't know what's in the soil unless you test it with a spectrophotometer. Then you have acid chem trail rain watering your crops on top of that. With hydroponics you have total control over every phase of the growing. The yields and fruit size are bigger because of maximum air, water, and nutrient levels. Things also grow much faster. The other big plus is you use way less water to grow and waste next nothing. Perhaps the other big thing is using heirloom seeds. The original pure strains and not GMO manipulated. The taste and nutrition levels are much higher and more intense. The spouting percentage in hydroponics of heirloom seeds is excellent depending on how you start the seeds. My systems have a spout rate in the high 90% category for my micro greens and other vegetables. Currently I have a banana plant, 7 kinds of micro greens, several lettuce strains, brussels sprouts, carrots , wheat grass... all growing in different hydroponic systems I have built. Hydro is the way of the future.

i call bullsh*t on this one

they do a hit piece on organics by making fun of the people attracted to it. they do not take into account other aspects of why people may be into alternatives to big agribusiness.
including
*picking unripened fruit and shipping it 1/2 way around the globe so it ripens at the store
*GMO and the ethical question of "terminator" seeds
*keeping money in the local economy to ensure a local source of food

What I saw is let those

What I say is let those opposed to organic foods eat all the non-organic foods that they wish.

I on the other hand think these parlor trick comedians have an agenda of their own. They are fools in my mind.

I will shop at local farmers markets and eat organic all I want, they can do what they want, but this was a big hit piece in my mind

Vegas show

Maybe their Vegas/cable show got a huge gift/"donation" from Monsato.

High-concentrate Vinegar

(organic) is used as an organic pesticide. I highly doubt that it's more dangerous.

That have Indian rice farmers using Coke and Pepsi to keep bugs out of their rice fields. Guys walking around with 2 liter bottles just spraying away.

Organic organs

I figure they are right about the "organic" foods, but I am on the fence about some aspects of GMO. Something about cod fish genes in my corn just doesn't seem right. Not that I have anything against cod fish, mind you. I will say this however: The show has a big finish. A really enormous, huge, bouncy, giggly finish.

Sounds interesting

Watching now. I myself prefer organic foods, because I'm skeptical of the government-science-complex.

Well, I didn't konw that organic foods used

organic pesticides. I was under the assumption that all organic farming was pesticide free.
And that was also interesting how it was said that organic pesticides might be more dangerous than the synthetic ones.

I think everyone is capable of being decieved

If people want to eat chemicals and gene-spliced foods, that's their choice.
I choose not to.
It's a shame Penn And Teller are under the impression that there is only one farm for everyone on earth.

hmm

yes, but in this episode the claim is made that organic farming uses not only more chemicals but more dangerous ones since they can not be the new synthetic stuff.

Some may. Some may not.

Not all organic farms are the same. Broad generalizations are "bullshit".

Perhaps they do. I don't look to comedians for science

or farming knowledge. If an organic farmer doesn't use chemicals at all, how do they use more? It's like saying a parking lot creates more pollen than a field of flowers. Makes no sense.

idk

quick google of "organic farming uses chemicals?" got me this.
http://organic.lovetoknow.com/Permitted_Chemicals_List_for_O...

Natural Chemicals

not everybody needs to use those. they are mostly for pest control. instead of using those a organic farmer could use natural predator insects.

quick google of "Chemicals" got me this...

A common example of a chemical substance is pure water; it has the same properties and the same ratio of hydrogen to oxygen whether it is isolated from a river or made in a laboratory.
