Will Dr. Paul Headline The Largest Tea Party Yet (912 Project)?

Just saw Beck state that he would be covering the 912 Project Tea Parties nationwide, with the largest in DC on 9/12.

Beck is a hack

I think C4L and DP folks by and large are too smart to fall for Beck and his occasionally mentioning something we care about but most often undermining our position.

What does 912 stand for ?...the proposition that "we live in a post 911 world" or some BS like that? ...the logical implication of that of course being that things like the Constitution no longer matter.

my two cents. I decided to attend a 912 tea party meeting. There is a large membership and mybe 60 or more at the meetings. It was different to say the least. I kept telling myself that Liberty is a big tent and there's room for all. I needed to focus on what brings us together. I don't know. They have a different mindset. They discussed what Beck and Rush said on their radio show that day. They talked about Palin. They think Rick Santelli is responsible for the tea party idea. Ron Pauls name wasn't mentioned and I didn't mention him. Somewhat superficial on the issues. Good people, energetic, nice but just not my cup of "tea." Not sure if I'll go back. I found myself agitated and I'm not sure why. I then went on the 912dc.org website and read some comments there. Ron Paul was mentioned as a speaker and the replies were they didn't want this to become a Ron Paul event.

While I'd be surprised if Beck would allow such to occur on his watch, that doesn't mean we shouldn't give it a shot. Beck doesn't exactly impress me, but he sure has a lot of people's ears these days. And many of those folks are people that are just an enlightenment or two away from realizing what it means to support Liberty.

I think any opportunity for Dr. Paul to share his ideas with active and interested Americans is the sort of thing we should be pushing for.
