What is your Health Care Solution?

Many people at these town hall meetings are being branded by the MSM as angry people without a clear point to make.
Lets see if the folks here at DP can come up with some common ground on what would help our ailing Health Care problems. The major problem being, costs keep going up.
Here's my solution. Lets completely stop putting poisons, GMO, hormones, and other toxins into our food supply.
This would mean few sick people and less of a need for any medical attention.
I've stopped buying food that contains toxins and my health is amazing now. I don't even need health insurance I don't have to worry about major illness.
I have medical coverage for the unlikely event that I have a major physical injury.
What are your solutions?

I dropped my $7,000 per year United Health policy
I'm putting my money into whole life, dividend paying insurance. I can borrow from it to pay large medical bills when or if I ever need it.
I urge all younger people to investigate the Infinite Banking program by Nelson Nash.
When can you put money and get contractually guaranteed growth -- TAX FREE!
And when you need to borrow against it there are no taxes or penalties like an IRA or 401K. It's a loan.
Also very important... if you borrow $50,000 from your policy YOU STILL GET YOUR DIVIDENDS PAID ON THE CASH VALUE AS IF YOU NEVER BORROWED THE MONEY!
If you pass away you still get the full face value of your death benefit plus any cash value minus any loan balances.
Stop paying interest to banks and pay it to yourself TAX FREE.
One last thing. Make sure your policy has a "paid up rider". That is a mechanism that exponentially increases your cash value and accelerates it's growth.
Screw the system!
Incidentally, whole life dividend paying life insurance is where all the 'captains of industry' put their cash. Big companies insure the lives of their key people and use the money as operating capital.

"GINO" = Government In Name Only
Good thread, thanks for posting.
I like the ideas posted already I will have to think about this and get back to you. Here is a bump to keep it going.
Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.
First. A national referendum to amend the Constitution.
I think before any meaningful debate on government involvement in health care can continue, it has to be ratified in our Constitution that there is a right to health care.
While I won't support any such amendment, I believe that any liberal argument for this health care reform is premised on the idea that a right to health care exists. If this is so, why isn't it in our Constitution? The way I see it, let these people amend the Constitution first.

for the young and old doctors
For those docs who are young and eager to learn..and those who want to retire from the hospitals and their offices....I wish the old ways would come back...if you needed a doctor...one was there...at your door.
When I was about 10, I met an old man who said he was a doctor...strange to me was..he was at my grandmothers house. He told me he still saw a few old friends time to time..checked up on them.
When he started out he said the town people paid for his house, phone, gave him 50.00 a month for groceries...(that was a lot back then) and a part of the donations to all the churches went to make sure he had what he needed to help people. No one was ever turned away..no payment was to small.
Sometimes the old ways are the best ways...
Freedom is another way to God...A corrupt government is a straight way to hell.
I believe in Hope & Change..I Hope the government will Change

the big problem with the old way is
You come out of school owing $150,000+ which means you'll be paying $1000 a month for 30 years
Costs aren't going up -
Costs aren't going up - value of the dollar is going down and people are IGNORANT about their own health.
SOLUTION:
Shut down the FED, IRS, FDA, AMA and ADA - let people find their own health, happiness and well-being. The free market can then transform the "healthcare" industry over night. Things like cancer will disappear.
get the government to 1/10th
get the government to 1/10th its size..... then it cannot stick its nose where it does not belong.

easy exercise,
raw milk, vegetables, love my family, learn new things, no insurance, no doctors
My Healthcare Solution
Go back to paying cash for all healthcare. Doctors, hospitals and drug companies will all lower there prices or go out of business.
That works for me.

health savings accounts
I am doctor and I've seen a lot of the problems we face first hand. People feel entitled to their benefits and have no problem getting care as long as it is 'free' or cheap to them. I've actually had people leave my office because they didn't want to pay a couple of hundred dollars in copays and go get a $50,000 surgery because it was paid at 100%. And I will tell you medicare patients are the biggest abusers. They don't care what it costs as long as it doesn't cost them! ... And we want everyone to be under a medicare type plan??????
I like the idea of HSA accounts with a major medical insurance policy. The HSA is pre-tax so I love the idea of taking money away from uncle sam and keeping 30% more of your money. And if you have a major health problem, that's covered. You'd just have to cap the costs.
Then with the HSA you pay cash at the time of service for office visits, dental work, glasses, medications, x-rays, MRI's, blood work, physicals, etc. This would really decrease the administrative headache for a large proportion of medical offices. No more sending in insurance claims and fighting for every penny. Now the majority is paid at the time of service and all you have to do is give the patient a receipt.
Additionally, if you let people use the HSA for preventative things like gym memberships, supplements, nutritional counseling etc, this would potentially save hundreds of billion of dollars.
Health Savings Accounts Sound Good.
That sounds familliar... I believe I may have heard Ron Paul mention HSA's as a solution for Health Care. Has Ron Paul endorsed it?
I especially like the idea of HSA's for preventative things. Once again it seems that our health is up to us as individuals to take care of. Yes, its sad to know how people take advantage of the Gov. for their health, but eventually they might see that they will hurt for it.

Remove tariff on sugar,
Remove tariff on sugar, which is bad but not as bad as High Fructose Corn Syrup.
Focus on cutting health costs, not providing "insurance" for things that shouldn't require insurance. Insurance for all things raises costs, because insurance for all things is costly.
Telling the FDA to conduct a study that determines what the government can do to combat carcinogens/obesity without telling people what to do. In other words, to figure out which government interventions might have promoted unhealthy lifestyles, and to remove them.

Good point
Since I'm against more Gov. control I wouldn't say ban High Fructose Corn Syrup. But the gov could help educate people about High Fructose Corn Syrup. This stuff causes major problems with blood sugar levels and obesity.
It is in everything from sweet foods to salty foods. My guess is that Health Care costs would drop significatly in one year if High Fructose Corn Syrup was taken out of the American diet.
