Support Whole Foods CEO for Speaking the Truth about Health Care

Whole Foods CEO has inflamed some of his customers to the point of boycott. His article in the Wall Street Journal, describing the flaws in government health care in other countries, and outlining a plan to make health care more affordable is commented on at www.campaignforliberty.com/#23689 where there is also a link to the WSJ article. I hope you will help show support for his stand by shopping at Whole Foods when you can.

Was just there

The store was packed with people. The parking lot full.
Folks were eating in the outdoor cafe, and in the indoor one. (you can even have a beer, or a glass of wine).
The whole place smelled delicious..a combination of baking bread, and Italian food.

I forgot they had recently moved to a larger location, the produce section is amazing in size..Figs and mangos were on sale.

I hope the boycotters eat at

I hope the boycotters eat at McDonald's instead... Let them get fat and sick.

I wish there was a Whole Foods closer to my house... I still go there every once in a while... Love that place.

Can someone

tell me what is whole foods? Is it an online store or is it a store I can drive too. I don't have anything like that around me. Thanks.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Its a Food Chain store

Little pricey than your average store...but everything they sell try to be sound products (organic) and/or envirnomentally friendly. Plus they pay their employees proper wages & benefits...they dont try to work around to laws to make the best return on their labor. Hence little more pricey. It is really a great success for them to compete in a market like that...by providing the goods that they do...and care for their employees like they do...and be profitable. They also contribute a lot to environmental causes...from what i understand ..to the local economy as well(from the video; not my knowledge).

Oh, thank you for

this information. I had no idea, maybe someday one will move in my area.

i bought organic oranges

i just bit into an organic orange and was surprised to find actual seeds in my mouth.

i forgot those things existed.

Mackey was dead-on

It takes a lot of courage for a CEO to step out like that -- knowing this political climate.

We seriously need to support him on this.

Dr. Andrew Weil (best known health food - wellness expert) agrees 100% with John Mackey -- though his alternative might be a little different.

I shop there as much as I can

it's too bad the nearest one is 45 minutes away from me.

Libera_Me: Thanks for Posting This

I posted the exact same thing with a link and it got no-play here.

Great Post

Octobox

Sorry I missed it.

I'd have bumped it for ya. I probably didn't pay attention to the thread title because I was not familiar with the Whole Foods company. But the video archer posted earlier where Russell Mokhiber was calling Mackey a bad guy for not going along with Obamacare, got my attention.

Too bad there isn't a Whole Foods store around me. Sounds like a great place.

*opportunity*

may be a good place to go and apply for a job right now, if you need one!

Perhaps some "principled" ... *cough* ... Obombya-bots quit, and there

are some new openings!

Just looked at their employment opportunites.

Even in a crappy job market like Nevada, they have a few positions open.
anyone looking for work? Go take a look..they are hiring.

that bad ass store has me going long after i've left it.
unfortunately we can't afford to shop there or at central market, or "markups" as we call it, very often.

it blows looking at food you can't buy but you damn well know is better for you in the long run.

fuck this reality. i'm fucking sick of this shit.
i'm sick of stupid fucking americans blowing their wads on shit sports or crap ass collectibles.

fuck this place.
whoever thought that a god could exist along side a collection of crystal trinket bullshit is beyond my understanding.

Samuel Smith's Imperial Oatmeal Stout is the cream of the crop.

I called John Mackey, the

I called John Mackey, the CEO, today and told him to keep on keeping on. I also told him I appreciated him standing up to Obama and I will go to his store next to exclusively buy his natural foods. His corporate HQ # is 512-477-4455. Please call and leave a message of support for all he is doing. He is one of us. And if you can go to one of his stores and buy your food there. Tell the manager you are buying from them because John Mackey believes in FREEDOM!!!

Think I'll go

there this weekend. We'll eat & shop at Whole Foods & those Obomba chumps can go overstuff themselves on Taco Bell, KFC & BK like the USA Today Dietician recommends. Leaves more good stuff for us.

I'll continue shopping at Whole Foods;

the Obamacare people don't need organic foods, the government's going to take care of all their self-inflicted diseases.

I love

Whole Foods. It's a great supermarket.

I do!

And they'll come back to Whole Foods, it's the best.
