Movie- My thoughts on District 9

The beginning of the movie I couldn't stand, after that it got pretty good. I didn't like the ending so much.

But good movie!

The best Sci Fi since "Children of Men".

I was so sad at the end of this movie, but did not cry, even though I wanted to; (Okay maybe I sniffled a little, but nobody saw).

Now, I thought it took place in 2010 (a subtitle). But then the movie showed a subtitle that stated the craft landed in 1982 & the relocation was taking place 20 yrs. later which would make that 2002 not 2010.

Thinking about the town hall meetings and the 'angry mobs' outside of them, was what reminded me of this, (Jimmy wants 'reform').

If you can't laugh, you'll just go insane.

Also, one of the better SciFi alien, prophecy type films to come along in a long time. Effects were incredibly well done, especially the subway crash scene. Loved the Ezekiel's "Wheels within wheels" depiction. Awesomely done.

I COMPLETELY concur with you that NONE of what we are seeing unfold rapidly before us, is ANY coincidence.

Recently, I nearly fell out of my damn chair, when I heard Alex Jones interview Buzz Aldrin a couple of days ago, and it entered Richard C. Hoagland territory: a monolith on the moon! Like Keanu, wuh!

And to the MoonTruth faction out there, I am aware of the Van Allen Radiation Belt, and have observed how irrelevantly thin the command module's non-radiation shielded walls were. However, if we are to assume NASA's story to be true, but most of you know better by now, than to believe ANYTHING gvt says, I'm of the mind that either they had "help" in getting to the moon, or once the astronauts landed on the moon they really did SEE "something," and they were told to not to speak a word.

Then, there is the verified fact of what Hoagland put forth in his latest book, "Dark Mission:" CIA played a little visual Neuro Linguistic Programming. They used an out of place media personnel dressed in cowboy garb, out of place in the control room to visually hook the observer. Then he proceeded to place a card on the assigned seats of media that read that basically the lunar landing was taped at a Hollywood back lot, in effect planting the current MoonTruth controversy playing out some 40yrs later. It'd be easily dismissed, had this anonymous "cowboy" in pressroom NOT talked to head of NASA's Press-liason.

But, the prospect of filming a simulated landing in a pre-landing, just in case the lunar feed died, which to be frank, in midst of the artificially induced arms race funded by the NWO banksters during the Cold War, such stunt would not entirely be unthinkable. Imagine LIVE lunar landing, with America's technological supremacy over the Soviets on the line, would we not at least consider framing a Kodak perfect landing, even IF they successfully landed on the moon, just in case something were to go wrong?

Making this whole 2012, NWO going for broke, and gradual acclimation to aliens and UFO by the gvt, the Vatican, Hollywood, and the "news" media, even weirder is the one "other" ingredient: the high degree Mason Arthur C.Clarke's monolith "alarm clock" as depicted in 2001 Space Odyssey. It cannot be a coincidence that suddenly Edgar Mitchell, and Buzz Aldrin, of all people, are now suddenly pushing forth this ancient tech, and ancient civilizations with possible ties to Egypt's pyramid builders meme, in what seems to be a forced Twilight of the American Constitutional Republic, cannot be a mere coincidence.

Amongst their Masonic lore, they must believe that our ancestors had a settlement on the Moon, or as out there as it may seem, our Progenitors were indeed of Martian origin, as Richard C. Hoagland proffers.

But Dec. 21, 2012 is certainly not too far away. Either, for the evangelicals, they'd be either be raptured, or Brown Dwarf "WormWooded," or Messiah, or AntiChrist will return. For those of Velikovsky's cataclysmic school, a massive Earth's Pole Shift, now already slowly underway, would peak, and we'll see the "Flood" again, with moving mountains, continental plates, earthquakes with 3km high tsunamis. Those of Sitchen's school of thought may surmise that Planet X and Nibiru will swing by and our Sumerian's alien progenitors would checkup on their genetic creaton. Or, if more of the NewAge, or Mayan paradigm is to be true, perhaps a massive simultaneous Kundalini awakening would happen to those meditatively prepared, and ascend into pure energy and become like Star Trek's "Q" like god-beings, when the Galactic Center lines up. Or, if Earth bound the Biblically depicted select 144,000 will "ohm" the Earth back into stability with higher frequency consciousness, and perhaps an age of ubiquitous telepathy and telekinesis and othe Psi-powers would reign normal.

Or, if what the Hopi tradition foretells, and what gvt may know to be true, what is depicted in the film Knowing, is the more likely scenario in which is the reason why NWO is acting like a bunch of criminals (okay, redundant), who are out to steal as much as they can, before the store go up in flames, literally, but just in case the solar mayhem doesn't burn up the entire planet, they'd hedge their bets and set up a tyrannical PanOptiCon, in case they survive, in which afterwards, they can run a technocratically controlled slave based neo-feudal system, like declining Egyptian Dynasties' Pharaohs of yore. Afterall, I think those idiots delude that's what their; Masonic lore tells them to be, anyways.

Then again, who really knows. All I know is, if and when that Fri, Dec 21, 2012 comes I'd like to think I am surrounded by loved ones, enjoying an early pre-Christmas feast, or giving and gifting, or be in midst of a 72 hour meditation marathon. If we go, we go. But I'd rather be outside facing the coming burning Sun's wave, and bless my and my loved one's eternal soul so that we may begin life anew some where else in this vast Universe, or dimensional hyperspace.

I really enjoyed the well thought out back story....where they showed the first interactions between the humans and aliens...where the language barriers where broken down...where it explained why/how the rest of the world just ignored the aliens living in a slum in South Africa...

..Ohh wait the movie didn't do any of those things..and that was lame

That being said the movie was somewhat entertaining and I did like the way the aliens were depicted (their movement, language, body type, etc)

I haven't seen it. But I would note that vampires, monsters, and space aliens were very popular during the Great Depression. So were stories about rich people with happy endings. (That didn't sound right.) The common element would appear to be escapism.

In addition to the pentagram and the goat head, the number 1 appeared throughout the movie. The number 7 was present just as much (the truck number, the timer on the camera film) but it was presented as 07. Some people think that it refers to a date: Jan 7th 2012 (As you pointed out the 2012 comes from the 3 years it will take the alien to come back)
