Townhall Downfall Sen. Sherrod Brown Stacks the House
Submitted by cyndezu on Mon, 08/17/2009 - 14:31
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) has been telling his constituents that he would not be hosting any townhalls this summer. But then on August 11th, he sent a blast email to the Obama administration controlled Organizing for America announcing a “roundtable” at Ohio State in Columbus on August 12th. Check out this video of Brown constituents who were shut out of the townhall roundtable, while OfA members were let in

Progress Ohio then posts this on U tube:
Some of the 600 who support health insurance reform and came out to hear Sen. Sherrod Brown speak in Columbus, OH. This pan shows supporters far outweighed the few protesters.
Who is the organized mob here?

Same deceptive, sneakish, weasiling, tactics by Obama ...
sheeple and career politicians that need to be thrown out of government. More fuel for the freedom fire that is raging.
I'm curious how many eye glazed ignorant Obama supporters will be taking the vaccine and koolaid propaganda offered by Brown and the rest of the Bamamites.
Keep fueling the fire fellow patriots. I'm impressed with the number of freedom supporters that were able to make this staged incident. Great Job Patriots. Imagine how many would have been there if they would have known. This is government transparency at its finest.
How many, all of 'em they'll get in line to do it.

Brown insists on public health plan
Sen. Sherrod Brown made clear today he was not happy with reports that the Obama administration might jettison a proposed federal insurance plan as part of an overhaul of the nation’s health-care system. The administration suggested it might drop the federal plan after it became clear it would be difficult to win approval in the Senate.
The Ohio Democrat said in a statement that the one Senate committee and three House committees that have passed health insurance reform bills “included a strong public option. Meaningful health insurance reform should include a public option (that) will keep insurers honest and lower costs. Americans seeking affordable, quality health care deserve no less.’’
The statement was more toughly worded than an original one released by Brown’s staff earlier in the day that suggested the senator would “continue to review alternate proposals and will evaluate how they can improve choice and health care access across the country.’’

One statement before the "round table".

He's a Blue Dog Dem and I'v
He's a Blue Dog Dem and I'v gotten him to co-sponsor H.R 1207 and many other things that I'm happy with. He responses to all my email's and phone calls, not like my other congresscritters. He is against the Healthcare bill. Heres one of two emails he sent me today. Thank you for contacting me about health care legislation. I appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with me about this important issue and I am honored to serve the people of North Mississippi.
While improvements to our health care system are needed, I do not believe that H.R. 3200, in its current form, is the best solution to our health care problems and I cannot support it. In order to have meaningful health care reform, we must contain costs and cut waste within the current system. We must also allow patients to keep their current choice of doctor and insurance company. Today, as insurance premiums rise seven times faster than the average Mississippi salary, we must increase competition among insurance providers to drive down costs and protect small businesses from government mandates that may pose a burden to employers.
My number one priority is lowering health costs for hard-working families, while also allowing people to maintain choice and increase competition in the marketplace. It is important that we not rush the process and I am committed to facilitating a meaningful conversation about any proposed health care legislation. It is more important that we get this right than get it fast. As a pro-life supporter, I will continue to protect the rights of the unborn and fight any attempt to fund abortion in a health care bill. Should a public option be included in health care legislation, it must not infringe on patient choice and I would support a requirement that Members of Congress had to participate in the option.
The legislative process is just beginning and I look forward to continuing the conversation about health care this summer and in the fall. Again, thank you for contacting me about this important matter of mutual concern. Please continue to share your views with me as we move through the legislative process. For additional information on this or other legislation please call me at (202) 225-4306 or visit my website at www.childers.house.gov and sign up for my periodic e-mail update.
Thats great henri,
