I beat a PE ticket!!!

I know this is off topic but I just had to share my elation. I had a photo enforcement ticket dismissed this morning. I really thought I was going to get stuck with the ticket even though I knew it was wrong. Man, the work the DPS goes through to try to make things stick is mind boggling. So score one for me and zero for Redflex and DPS, yeah!

how I responded

was interesting. I had mechanical problems the night I was flashed, and believe me it blinded me for about 10 to 15 seconds. But someone ahead of me claimed mechanical problems and she got the stiff fine and the points. The DPS officer stated that in AZ law you are required to operate you vehicle in a safe manner. They had about 8 or 9 different technical documents on me. When it came my turn to speak I told the judge I was only an ordinary citizen with no special degrees or training and didn't have access to sophisticated technical equipment. I explained the problem with my car and how it had been in and out of the shop for over a month with the transmission and complete wire harness being replaced. As far as operating an unsafe vehicle I stated I was not a mechanic and my vehicle was a 2007 and that I up until that point in time I deemed it was safe. I also stated that it was not my intention to exceed the speed limit or commit a criminal offense. The Judge stated the ticket did not reflect that my speed was unreasonable or reckless and dropped the charge. Yahoo! My tickets was for with driving 76 in a 65 mile zone. I also got to tell the DPS officer that the flashes from the van in the dark of night are dangerous, like he cared.

should of given the officer a copy of the constitution and suggest he look into the evidence that apparent war crimes that have taken place. He needs to know that the citizens want the police to protect them from real ciminals.
