Mexicans in Appalachian Virginia aren’t like those guys

I have a lot of Mexican friends around here and they’re not caught up in that Reconquista Movement. They’re basically Mexican rednecks from the mountains of Queretaro, who love Boxing, Rodeo, Soccer, and drinking and playing Ranchero music. A lot of them have Confederate Flag stickers on the back windows of their trucks, and of course the Virgin of Guadalupe.

They love America; hell, they even have this strange inferiority complex to Americans. They love off-roading and target shooting, and going fishing.

They’re conservative, even libertarian, and they love watching 9/11 videos. They know a lot more about geopolitics than the average person around here, yet the rednecks think they’re better than them. Around here it’s socially acceptable to say derogatory things about the Mexicans, I’d like to think it’s a socioeconomic class thing, but I think a lot of this attitude stems from racism.

If SHTF, I’d rather have these guys by my side than a lot of the dumb country boys; they know how to survive, and loyalty is their prime directive.

I’ve explained to them how a nation must have secure borders and they agree, but NAFTA made it nearly impossible for an independent farmer to make a living where they’re from, and severely depressed the wages there; so when they were teenagers they came here. Now they have families here, many of them with American women. I think it would be awful if my friends got deported, and their families broken up; I guess I am at a paradox regarding illegal immigration.

I think most of these Cholos in Texas, Cali, etc…either were born here, or have lived in a liberal city long enough to get programmed into race politics by the powers that be. They’re dupes of the Latino Al Sharptons. The Mexicans around here are fans of Johnny Cash.

born in a hispanic country, I am embarrassed and disgusted to see how some immigrants treat this great country of ours. These are immigrants who take their freedoms in this country for granted. As a legal immigrant from a socialized country, I say send these illegals back to where they came from.

My question is, what about Albania? Or Mexico?

In both cases they had a country and it was a corrupt poor hell.
What makes them believe that the new home is not going to be like the old home when they take it over?
