The diehard supporters of GOP maverick Ron Paul are back in campaign mode. But they're not backing another presidential run by America's favorite libertarian. Paul's son, Dr. Rand Paul, is running for a 2010 U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky. To hear the other Dr. Paul's take on one-world government and abolishing the Federal Reserve, you'd swear you were listening to his dad.
I called Rand Paul at his medical office in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In a drawling voice, Paul echoed his father's strong isolationist streak. He brought up fears of a united North American government, including Mexico and Canada, that would replace American currency, an idea he said was being actively promoted by David Rockefeller.

More Ron Paul supporters
I rarely visit the Huffpo. But for the sake of this post, I took a look.
I was surprised to see a number of people defending Rand, and Ron.
Most were correcting the inaccuracies that typically catch fire, whenever the name Paul is brought up over there. It was nice to see.
Perhaps the nose-in-the-air attitude amongst Huffpo's membership has resulted in many finally seeing the sunshine, or perhaps they drowned in minor rainstorm. Whatever it is, it's great to see that Obamamania is a short term illness, and it's no longer contagious.

The word was created to discredit the American people who opposed getting involved in the war in Europe (WWII). The vast majority opposed it until Pearl Harbor.
The word, "isolationism" and words like it are inventions used to attack political opponents. When we take these words seriously as if they describe something real, we play into the hands of our opponents.
Anyone ever known an "isolationist"? Never met one.

I have to say, I lost all respoect for Wired after reading this, but I believe this is the strength of the left who actually have issues and call the opposition "isolationists", but fail to identify themselves as "Globalists.. NWO"

Agreed.
But I dislike the subtle jabs and labels.
The active ingredient in rat poison is not the one with the largest percentage.
We know what those subtle jabs did to Ron Paul. Even this article throws in another one on him: 'Paul’s father was criticized during his presidential race for playing up the idea as well as for speaking out against a nonexistent federal plan for a “NAFTA superhighway”.'
I just hope Rand is prepared for this kind of thing.
