Rand Paul
Rand Paul could win but it would be an upset and he will start as a definite underdog.Meanwhile, in Texas there is a vacant Senate seat where Ron Paul could start out as the favorite! The only Democrat publicly considering the race is conservative John Sharp who well might win the Democratic primary. Democrats in Texas hav not won a state wide election in 18 years. All state wide office holders are Republicans. The Establishment Republicans will all be behind David Dewhurst of the River Oaks Country Club. His name identification is far inferior to Dr. Paul's, who would enter the race as the favorite. Of course the Establishment Republicans are used to having their own way, so Dewhurst would get all of the oil money plus th endorsement of the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News , San Antonio Express etc. It still looks a lot better for the freedom movement than Rand in Kentucky or Schiff in Connecticut. Since it is for an unexpired term Dr.Paul would not risk losing his Congressional seat,
