They are taking deposits and EVEN allowing withdrawals! No employees filling boxes with personal belongings, they were actually smiling and working diligently.
This is 100% Credible information based on my first hand account, I went to the bank today! Also, the sky is not falling

Tomorrow I'll try to file a UCC-1 blanket / 1st position lien on the US Government.

Banks still open - but be prepared
I have an interest bearing checking account with Bank of America and a fairly significant five figure balance. So far this year they have paid me 41 cents in "interest". I keep taking cash out and keep enough for a month's worth of expenses just in case. Besides, my mechanic and others have yet to complain about getting paid in cash. If I'm wrong about a bank holiday or closures due to power failures, storms or disasters, no harm done. If something bad happens, I'm covered.
Actually,
Ron Paul, our hero, said in the first quarter it would probably hold together for about one to three years. And he said the dollar is dead, we can't grow our way out of this debt. Common sense words.
I don't agree
But then again, I don't disagree. The dollar probably should be dead, but it isn't. The dollar should have died long ago, but it didn't. A lot rides on the dollar working and America consuming. I wouldn't say it isn;t possible, but I am saying with certainty that all banks didn't close today, and they won't tomorrow. Actually, I'll go out on a limb and say all / most / a good portion of banks will not have a "bank holiday"

This one is new
I used to only have one, but it was no longer welcome here. I might have told another long time member / mod he was a jackass for not even watching the videos he posted as truth / facts. that member is now gone and did a whole lot more harm than I ever could have done.
Then 10 or so other "names" jumped on my back in every thread because I slammed their master and they couldn't bear the facts. I got baited into calling someone something and got banned. This is a new name, I should have been clear with my language, it is not a second name. Now I don't use bad words, flame with other members, but I still crack down on bad info.
