Legalize heroin?

0 votes

It is easy to get irritated by comments left on a lot of the articles that get posted, but this time is different.

The article is about legalizing heroin. As an article, it is good. But what is better is the well thought out and very good comments that have been left on it (mostly).

There may be hope for us all yet... :)

Methadone

Well we've already legalized the treatment of it.

Methadone clinics basically give them a permanent supply of heroin that is for life-long or at least a very long time frame.

same people will use it

same people will use it whether legal or not, as already noted here it's soley about profit and controlling the market

There's too much money in the illegal aspects of it...

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

Won't ever happen.

What will happen to the poppy fields we are "protecting" in Afganistan? Funny heroin is exploding in our cities.
How about our private prisons housing half the inmates there for drugs?
It's a racket. How long has it been? 30 years?
Kinda like the War on Terror. A war of a thing. It never ends.

Bump, no pun intended ;)

Hmmm...

I think you did intend that pun.

Comments are great

Thanks.

Seriously, it is time that every adult be treated like an adult.

One Question

Have you ever done it?

Oh, Canada. Canada is not the United States!

Not that particular drug... :)

And never would. I become addicted to things a little too easily.

I'll stick with alcohol, smokes, and cannabis... :)

To Clarify A Bit

I was thinking about kids when I saw the title. Like, folks actually want drugs to be legal, o.k., I'll confess a bit: maybe the option should be given to the States to decide.

Anyway...

O.k., this was a study in Canada, actually seems like I've seen other studies years upon years ago speakin' about the same thing.

~peace, o.k., a weak moment~

The issue was given to the

The issue was given to the states (or the people) in the tenth amendment.

Even if it became legal

I'd still just stick to my weed... I detest needles.

Lose the "e"

Heroine is a female hero..

Thank you...

All I can say is oops, made the same mistake twice in the same 100 word post... :)

But IMO a heroine is much

But IMO a heroine is much better than heroin and we are in dark times so both would not be too bad to have.
