are you sure--heck of negative PR risk...
what happens if between the dinner and in state donations he beats rand after a supposed moneybomb to stop him.
It would make more sense to wait until someone has a clue how much they donated at that dinner, and then go and clobber that total after everyone has saved up some money to have another mega bomb.
It would be a very bad thing for a money bomb to fail....a very bad thing...media will jump all over that...
Look at the spin they tried with the 430k...
someone with some campaign experience needs to lead these things..these random bombs can cause some very, very negative impacts for candidates...
Anyone can put together a website...the problem is that is not what is needed...
A campaign political machine is what is needed...

probably too soon for a mega bomb again
Guys...doing more than one major money bomb per quarter is tough..maybe a mini bomb to get him over a million..is possible. But another major bomb for him doesnt make sense that soon.
Plus he needs to start using the new money to get slim jims made, his first tv ad, radio ads, etc. to get NEW donors.
Plus his filing quarter probably is not until oct 15th so none of the numbers of his opponent(their dinner parties) and him will be out till end of october or november to create a comparison.
Probably want to delay until just before the filing quarter is up like oct 7th to 15th to maximize time for people to have pay days, and for Rand to pass out flyers, go to event and grow his supporter pool.
Honestly the minibomb to get him over a million makes more sense just to get a lay of the land with his opponent and give people a chance to financially rest.
Then the last quarter of the year a heavy bomb should come into play to make it all the way to 2 million or very close.
This may be wise; if the target is set too high,
especially so soon after the last one, it can make even a very nice fundraiser look like a flop. If the target is to take him over a million, it'll be seen as a success to make that goal.
It's very possible....
We just need to fire up a new group of patriots and convince them to open their wallets too......
A MoneyBomb that gets the Glenn Beck audience to donate to Rand, Kokesh, Simcox, RJ, and others.....

The 9/12 people
are very hard to reach or teach..they are mostly still stuck in the false left/right paradigm and are drinking the MSM kool-aide...very closed-minded...if they didn't see it on TV, it never happened.

I was starting to roll with a 9/12 MoneyBomb for...
All of the liberty candidates listed at 9/12candidates.org (Rand, Kokesh, Simcox, RJ and others) however - Trevor Lyman got on board and is running the show now - though it could be moved to the 17th as a Constitution Day MoneyBomb - with the success he's had, I'm perfectly ok with standing back and waiting on his lead!

Rand Paul is the man with the message. The population, 2008 estimate of Kentucky is 4,269,245. How far long is his organization in the State? I think the candidate with the message that resonates with the people will win over who has the most money. How much money will Rand need to reach all of those folks with his message? Once we know that figure then we can set a goal for our next money bomb(s).

Rand has announced he's running. Schiff hasn't. And today on his blog schiff said he needs to raise 1.5 million by the end of september. His race will be much more expensive than Rand's and Rand seems to be in good shape right now.

Rand Paul 2010 is the critical race
It would be great if Peter Schiff wins, but the fate of the r3VOLution lies with the Rand Paul race.
The media likes things simple. Because Rand is is father's son, the media will latch onto this particular race as the litmus test of our movement. No matter what other contests we might win or lose, if Rand loses in 2010, the media will continue to say we're just a bunch of Internet spammers who make a lot of noise, but can't translate it into popular support and actual votes. The few articles they write about us after that will mostly be about how insignificant we are.
On the other hand, if we win this one race, we prove ourselves to be a significant force in American politics. Remember, we have no major election victories yet. Yes, Ron Paul's still in Congress, but that's old news. So far, the r3VOLution hasn't put anybody new into Congress.
That changes in 2010!
Then, who knows what can happen in 2012. Maybe Ron Paul will run for President again. Other nations have had great leaders older than he. Whatever we do, the Rand Paul victory gives us the momentum. When we announce our next big goal, let no one doubt we will succeed at it, too.
Like it or not, in 2010 the survival of the Ron Paul movement rests solely on this one race.

Both are important, but Rand's is critical. Plus, I think, more winnable.
Connecticutians lean towards authoritarianism. It would be miraculous if Schiff could get elected. The planets may be properly aligned for that right now, however.
