Today my son and I were having dinner. While we ate we were talking about all of these stupid new rules they have at school. He's 9 years old. He told me that they gave them a new rule today, the 4 day of the school year. No one on the play ground is allowed to touch anyone else. It was explained to the kids that everyone has their "space", like a bubble around them, and they weren't allowed to touch each other. They are not allowed to play tag, but they can play what the teachers called "Bubble Tag" where they go up to the one who is "it" and say "tag, your it". But they could not actually tag them. None of the kids can touch another kid, PERIOD. I told my son that's about the most senseless rule I've ever heard of, SO FAR. Is this some kind of Socal Experiment to see how badly we can screw up our kids?
Well, anyway...A few minutes of silent thought and then my son, a 9 year old, asked me that if everyone in the world secretly agreed to stop paying taxes could they do that? I told him yes, and I explained the clause found in the Declaration of Independence, and what it meant.
"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed"
And that if people withdraw their consent then Government loses its Authority.
And this is so simple that even a 9 year old can think of the solution. I continued to explain to him that its very unlikely that that would ever happen though. Even if everyone agreed to do it, few would stick to their agreement out of fear of prosecution. It is fear that keeps us all under subjection of tyranny. And the kids are being taught this fear, the fear that if they touch someone on the playground they will lose some of their freedom. But then if they don't stand up to the Tryants, err teachers, they lose the freedom to play tag. In truth, they have nothing to lose from standing up to their Tyrants, if they can't be free to play at recess then what's the point it even having recess?
If we are already enslaved by taxes and endless regulation upon our lives, then we are already imprisoned. Why do we fear going to prison for peaceful civil disobedience?

I highly recommend taking his class if he comes within driving distance. An excellent experience for my best friend and I, and since we signed up early I believe it was only $40 each & included a copy of his book.

Badnarik's Constitution class is one of the things that really woke me up.
If you want a solid understanding of your rights, you need to watch that series!

Who makes up this 'we'? Am I part of it? If so, I would like to use my power to say no thanks to the IRS the next time they declare that they want money from me. After all, I'm part of the we, and we have the power, right?

Therefore ALL means to promote, preserve, and protect ALL of Our God-given Rights cannot be undermined or overcome by any person or group of people of any title, without Our consent.
If the price of Liberty is eternal vigilance, then how many of you will have to confess with me that We the People have so little left because We squandered Our attention on trivial stuff?

for anyone who hasn't taken mr. badnarik's online constitution class, it's a must. it is very informative and empowering, he also makes it fun. one of his more memorable comments concerns his promise to himself that before he dies he plans to travel to hyde park so he can piss on FDR's grave...
