One of my buddies is joining the military. It goes downhill from there.

I found out one of my buddies was joining the military (7 year stint), and so I started talking to him about the oath keepers, and well he told me his job as a soldier is to obey orders. I then said that you will swear an oath to obey the constitution, will you break your oath? he said that the constitution doesnt cover everything.
I then started asking if he would be willing to disarm american citizens, or detain american citizens, ect and he said he would, because a a soldier his job is to obey orders.
I even brought up a couple of examples from katrina and he said that he was from texas and a lot of those people went to texas and just vandilized everything so it was good that they keeped those people in the stadium (although he still seemed to get real quite when I brought up the whole disarming thing)
This is really disappointing to me because in the past (and even now) he seems to have a real dislike for government. Although he seems to think that the government is the slave due to the welfare state and stuff.

MY only glimer of hope is that he may never had thought about this sort of stuff and he was only giving me his gut reaction to this stuff and maybe now it will change.

New Army Pitch:

Would you kill to go to college?

Now you can!

The Nazi military ...

criminals were just obeying orders too.

You need better friends.

Instead of ignoramus robots, you might want to think about surrounding yourself with free thinkers.
Tell your friend if he pulls his crap here in Texas that he will get a sun roof installed in his head.

I did not expect him t be this way

He was a home schooled kid so I expected a lot more. He is also from texas so I expected more. He also doesnt like government so I expected more.

I think he is joining up because he is having a very difficult time making it. I also think that he has never thought about the situations I brought up. Hopefully he will naw on it.

He sure will be thinking a

He sure will be thinking a lot more about it when he is sitting in a hot tent in Afghanistan. Tell him you'll ask him about it again 6 months after he deploys.

He thinks the gov't is the

He thinks the gov't is the slave because of welfare programs they continue to push and destroy our currency for? That's the biggest lard of crap I've ever heard.

Have you noticed

their salaries and their retirement funds, their houses and their debauchery? They will get what is coming to them, but it may be later rather than sooner.

I agree

and that is the first time I think I have ever heard that.

Soldiers aren't what we would hope they would be.

The one I know still says it is impossible for the govt to do 911 because they are not that smart. He said that he thinks people who don't leave their homes when told to evacuate should be arrested. He does not believe that the govt is spraying anything dangerous in the air. He thinks chemtrails are harmless, if not natural. He is not sick and his family is not sick, so must be harmless.

I have often wondered if he is brainwashed and what he knows about brainwashing because his wife really supports his views.

thats because

too many are joining up because they need the money. I know he is.

But the soldier

I am speaking of has been out for many years now. We didn't know this was coming down the pike when he got out and he is still sounding just like this guy. This soldier even voted Ron Paul-he said.

Have him watch this....

I plan on updating it soon...but it's still relevant....

By the way, I'm an Air Force officer who has just recently accepted the facts that war is a racket and my oath to the Constitution is purely lip service. Military members are no longer even required to complete the 20-minute computer-based training course on the Constitution. Thankfully, I'll work in a field where I won't have to hurt anyone or even be deployed until my active duty commitment expires.

Your friend wants to do a public service? Tell him to be a police officer instead. A good one who knows citizens' rights and respects them.

You should be proud of him

I joined the Navy well after I learned of the agent orange, lsd experiments, tuskteegee project, 9-11 ect ect.. I joined after the war and Ive been a vocal antiwar throughout my military career. From my experience the younger recruits are more open to the truth then the older saltier dogs. They are apt to believe in madness that goes on in our world. You all should be proud of this kid... and you should remind him of his oath and to take it seriously. Please go back and tell him... he has a duty and a responcibility, not only to up hold the constitution, but to disobey unlawful orders. And the best way to determine if an order is lawful or not is if it is allowed by the constitution.

I like military types

My dad was in nam
my brother was in the navy, then got out joined the national guard and you guessed it went to iraq
my brother in law is a recruiter for the army (I have difficulty talking to him because his job is pretty much propaganda, but that is the essence of being a sales man, and a recruiter is basically a sales man)

So my buddy joining the army doesnt bother me, but his reaction to orders do.

Isn't he setting himself up for

a) having to kill innocent people
b) possibly getting killed himself in the process
or c) court martial?

How can serving in unconstitutional wars EVER allow soldiers to "obey the constitution"? It's much too late for that. How can signing up for the military benefit anyone but the Corporations and globalists who designed this scheme?

There are a million good reasons to join the military

Thats why people have done it throughout the centuries. Of course there are millions and millions of bad things that could happen after you join. (when the Navy took out my wisdom teeth, they killed the nerve in my lower lip... life sucks now) Thats just part of life as I see it. I was active duty for 3 yrs and Ive been a reservist for 1.5 yrs. The reserve unit I am with now, most of them are in complete agreement with Ron Paul although many of them dont know who he is. We talk about possibilities of martial law, the war and al queda ( if you even believe in al queda), second amendment... we have been talking alot about the swine flu lately..next drill we'll chat face to face. I love my unit. We're talking about going on deployments....

Listen... we need good people in the military... especially national guard. Unless your a marine..its not all about killing people. Some of us save lives for a living

Yes, it's mostly about killing people

Anyone who JOINS voluntarily now, during a unjust, preemptive war that's based on TOTAL LIES and corporate profiteering, under a ruthless administration, is inexcusably stupid or cruel or both.

There is no reason to kill innocent people just so Halliburton and company can profit. There is no morality in these wars whatsoever.

You just called me inexcusably stupid and cruel?

Why dont you just call me a baby killer? LOL Im laughing cause you have no idea how many dead baby jokes I learned while on active duty and how we sang cadance songs about killing enemies..lol it was beautiful.

Im about to re enlist into the reserves. I plan on scheduling a deployment to afgan either beginning of next summer or the yr after that granting I dont get tapped on the shoulder before that and told to go. I hope not cause im in nursing school now. Im a Navy Corpsman... it is my job to save lives. And the best medicine in combat is... firing down range. You kinda need to grow up alittle bit... warfare, military... innocents being killed... its all part of the human condition. War is ugly and good people die and the profiteers get away with it... there is nothing new under the sun. Supporting our troops does not mean sending them into needless wars of opportunity, it means bringing them home. Supporting our troops does not mean insulting their service either. You dont do the liberty movement any good that way. But whatever, ya hippie. Semper Fortis!

Good point

Without good, moral, ethical, effective leadership in the services how will these people grow. Be the future that you want to see in your world was never more true.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Impossible

War is a Racket. Period.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

Wait!!!!!!!

If you're friend is in the Delayed Entry Program(where you sign up but dont go to boot camp for a month or two) he can still get out!!!!! even if he took the oath!!! the first oath is not the real one!!! they make you take the real one when you actually go to boot camp. When I was in(2002-2006) i saw it happen many times even once you are assigned your first duty station if you write your CO (within 90 days of arrival, if my memory serves) and say you cant adjust and you want out, you can get out with an honorable discharge or under honorable conditions. This info is NOT given to recruits and even denied but it is true. if its true in the marines it must be true for other branches. i forget what the technical term is for this mechanism. you need to convince him NOT TO GO! there are military rights lawyers and non profit military advocacy lawyer groups that can give him info. NO MATTER what anyone says if he dosent show up to ship out to boot camp you will NOT get in trouble. even if you signed the contract or took the oath. Best of luck!!!!!!

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the worlds' central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups."
