The constitution is probably the last thing from his mind.

Having said that ....

He succeeded in not violating anybody's constitutional rights ...

He may be smarter than you think.

He just may not have been able to verbalize his thoughts ...

Hell, I have been a victim of that before.

If he would have arrested the guy, then I might be in your corner.

But he did not.

He felt like he was trying to keep the peace.

Who knows what happened before or after the video, but I do know this ....

if it was a serious violation of the constitution ...

this video would show a lot more.

This guy seemed to have edited his video to make this cop look dumb.

He is doing his job? Haven't you heard of all the atrocities that have happened just because someone was just doing his job? Since when is his job confronting somebody standing on a sidewalk with a sign? The cop admitted that it was only because of the picture since he didn't hassle anyone else.

sensitive job of "keeping the peace," that person should have excellent communication skills, negotiating skills, know the legal statutes well, etc.
We see too many police unskilled and just resorting to the one thing they know: bullying, threats, or violence.

If the wrong people are being hired, the chiefs are responsible, or the trainers; the system needs radical improvement asap.
