Astral Projection

One afternoon many years ago I had the experience of leaving my body. Unfortunately, due to my innate fear of the unknown, I didn't get very far. What I perceived to be a spooky, unfathomable blackness turned out to be nothing more than the empty space between the inside wall of my house and the outside wall. If I'd only had the courage to proceed a couple of inches further, God only knows what I might have discovered! As it is, at least I know that astral projection IS possible. Maybe that's all I really need to know.

I go through periods of devout spirituality when I take the time to meditate daily and then I go through bouts of what I call more "worldly" periods, when it's all I can do to keep up with my physical reality. The astral projection happened during one of my "spiritual" periods. It was not something I did on purpose, it happened spontaniously, so I can't tell you how I did it. Sorry, I wish I could! There are books available that teach you how to do it, though. Good luck!

I gave it a try, but I started to bob for apples like one of those sleepy puppies from a video on youtube.

But seriously...if something is real, you don't need a "subcategory" of metaphysics to deal with it. But if it is imaginary, you need all kinds of extra language to establish your assumptions and so forth.

Anyone who desires to advance to adult level in this children's world in which we presently live should go to the trouble of working their way through understanding that most everything you've been taught is intended for comfort, not reality and literal truth.

You're going to get about as much out of this as you put in.
