Donate $2,300 to respond to the 23 Senators on September 23

Rand needs more of us to make the order-of-magnitude paradigm shift. Many people could make major contributions, but they have the mindset that $100 is large. We went to the Lone Star the other evening, and the bill with tip totaled $86 for five people. I gave my 23-year-old son $100 for his recent birthday. A recent electric bill was $179.45. A few decades ago $100 was a lot of money, but today it's an everyday amount.

If you're angry about the Washington insiders believing they can handpick the next Senator from Kentucky, make the paradigm shift. Consider donating $2,300 to respond to the 23 Senators on September 23.

Each individual is allowed to contribute $4,800 to a single campaign. Technically, that's $2,400 for the primary and $2,400 for the general election, but you're allowed to contribute it all up front. A couple can contribute up to $9,600.

However, don't completely "max out", as you'll want to make small donations in each future money bomb to be counted towards the number of donors.

If you're simply not able to break into the thousands, at least consider multiplying your previous donation by 2.3 for the 23 Senators on September 23. Turns out that 433K times 2.3 brings us to the million dollar mark!

They count the number of donors

If you're broke, still donate something, even if it's just $10. The newspapers report the number of donors and average donation size. The more donors, the better, as it shows that Rand has thousands of "ordinary" supporters, while Trey gets large donations from bailed out banksters.

If you're a couple, split your donation between the two of you, so you each count in the tally.

Also, please donate early in the day, as your donation will inspire others all day long. Either stay up past midnight, or donate before work in the morning.

Let it not be said that we did nothing!

My letter to my Senator, who is one of the 23 Bass Turds

My letter, for what it is worth. I just do not have any money to donate.

Dear Senator Cornyn:

I am very upset that you have decided to Host a $500 a plate DC fundraiser for a Republican Primary Candidate for Senate in another State. As this is a Republican Primary in another state without an incumbent running, I do not believe that you have any business getting involved. I would much prefer that you concentrate on serving the people in Texas you actually work for. This typical DC insider garbage goes along way to explaining some or your votes, such as your vote for the Wallstreet Banker Bailout Bill, I know that you DC insiders prefer to call it the TARP bill, sounds so much better don't you know. When my children and grandchildren have to pay the bills for you DC insiders ridiculous spending, with a reduction in their standard of living, I am pretty sure they are not going to care what pretty names you used. Then again what kind of behavior should we Texas Republicans expect from someone who told us he wanted to be our Supreme Court Judge, than resigned in the middle of a term and told us he wanted to be our Attorney General, then resigned in the middle of a term and told us he wants to REPRESENT us as a US Senator. What he really wanted was to be a DC insider power broker.

Good to see you back at it after your long absense. As you found out campaigning takes alot out of you. I will be in on this one for $500 Lets top the 1 million mark.

Good to be back!

I'm in for $4,000 in this money bomb, which will almost max me out. (I'm saving a little room for token donations in each future money bomb to count towards the number of donors.)

I'm planning to donate sometime in the morning to inspire people throughout the day. Any thoughts on precisely what's the best time? Just after midnight?

lets just hold off until next month

lets just hold off until next month and let some people save up.

Schiff bomb today showed you can have multiple bombs per quarter.

One major bomb a month is all we probably can handle.

He doesnt need need the money anymore than peter does.

We have no idea until the FEC reports come in for OCT/NOV how much that party will earn.

Lets delay a month and save up...i for one have spent too much as well and dont want to donate on a day in which the goals arent possible and clear.

If the rest of hte movement is tapped right now they will be tapped on the 23rd as well....

It has to be now

You are correct that too many money bombs exhaust our resources, resulting in each being less successful. However, the Rand money bomb is the important one and cannot wait.

The Libertarians are fond of the saying, "If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting." They, of course, are talking about people who vote for the lesser of two evils.

However, the same saying should apply to their practice of running hundreds of candidates, most of whom lose their elections by wide margins. Libertarians rarely elect anyone higher than city council. In forty years they have elected zero members to the U.S. Congress. Zero.

The r3VOLution could fall into the same trap, running dozens of candidates for Congress, having several money bombs each month, exhausting our resources without giving any candidate the funds needed to actually win.

There is a better strategic path.

I say that the Rand Paul race is the one critical race this year. Because he is his father's son, the media will treat his race as the litmus test of our movement. If he loses, they will say that the voters have rejected the Paul message, that Ron Paul Republicans are unelectable. However, if he wins, we will have proven unambiguously that we are a significant force in American politics, that we know how to win elections. That will give us tremendous momentum to do more in the 2012 election cycle.

No other candidate can do that. If Peter Schiff wins, the media will say he had a nationwide reputation and fan base independent of the Ron Paul supporters. But they cannot divorce Rand from Ron. No one can ever argue that Kentucky voters didn't know Rand was associated with the Ron Paul movement!

The time for running dozens of candidates will come.

So far we have won nothing. Zero. We only need to win Rand's race in 2010 to keep the momentum growing. With the respect and attention garnered from sending Rand to join Ron in Washington, we'll be able to win several in 2012, maybe a dozen in 2014, and perhaps a hundred in 2016 -- if we can keep the momentum growing.

Compared to the establishment, we are still small. I believe Mitch McConnell raised and spent $32 million getting re-elected to the Senate in Kentucky in 2008. That's the kind of race we need to be running for Rand this year. That's where we need to focus, as the fate of the r3VOLution now lies squarely in Rand's hands.

Another strategic reason for holding Rand's money bomb on 9/23 is that's the day of Trey's money bomb. It gives us a reason to be mad and donate unreasonable amounts of money. And it lets us scoop him in the media on his special day.

Another strategic reason is to be ahead of Trey in fundraising when the numbers are reported to the FEC at the end of September.

Let's make history on September 23!

with respect..huh

with respect ...what you say makes no sense..but now that they(rand and his campaign) have committed to the 23rd. It is what it is for the good or the bad...

I just pray the same style of logic you professed above doesnt take us down another NH or bust road...forgetting the whole time about Iowa...

Peter Schiff is not a Ron Paul

One more thing: Peter Schiff is certainly a fiscal conservative, and he was a financial advisor to Ron Paul's campaign, but he doesn't seem to want to talk about a non-interventionist foreign policy or civil liberties, making him only 1/3 of the Ron Paul equation.

I believe the lackluster response to his money bomb reflects more his inability to inspire us than our being burnt out. I still believe Rand's money bomb will bring in over $1 million.

If I HAD that much money, I

If I HAD that much money, I would. I will, however, be donating 100 on the 23rd because those Senators piss me off.

And when you're looking for your freedom

And when you're looking for your freedom
(Nobody seems to care)
And you can't find the door
(Can't find it anywhere)
When there's nothing to believe in
Still you're coming back, you're running back
You're coming back for more

So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time

Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time

Kentucky Fight - Million Dollar Day

I created a new group on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=153143075357) which encourages Rand Paul supporters to respond to the 23 Senators on September 23 by multiplying their previous money bomb donation by 2.3. If everyone does so, Rand will have a Million Dollar Day!

Please join, and to invite all your friends to join. I'd like this to go viral.
