One of the best articles I've read on Adam Kokesh.

The writer tried hard to dislike him... to no avail!

Given that I had just read Jim Baker’s Blue Jay Yarn, written by one Mark Twain, and given that I especially enjoyed the passage reading, “A jay hasn’t got any more principle than a Congressman. A jay will lie, a jay will steal, a jay will deceive, a jay will betray; and four times out of five, a jay will go back on his solemnest promise,” and given that I never have had a fondness for politicians—nor understood those that did—it was with no small amount of wickedness that I set out from the heart of Albuquerque to conduct an interview on the outskirts of Santa Fe with newly announced Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives Adam Kokesh. Mr. Kokesh, who professes a libertarian-leaning agenda, will be seeking to replace the current representative for the 3rd Congressional District, Ben R. Luján (D), who defeated Dan East (R) in 2008 after Tom Udall (D) left the seat to run for the U.S. Senate. Because the 3rd Congressional District is strongly democratic, Mr. Kokesh will have to exert a novel appeal as he stalks the Nov. 2, 2010 election. The 27-year-old veteran and New Mexican native saw action with the U.S. Marine Corps in Fallujah in 2004, became active with the anti-war movement upon returning home and studied political management at George Washington University.

I would love to see the marines get behind this effort in as

much force as they could mustard. I would love to see them in their fatigues, walking northern New Mexico until every single person knew why they were there. The money for Adam needs to come from inside his territory. For Ron Paul, it was the United States, for Adam, it is New Mexico. If people in his district give him money, they will talk about him and support him. His voters have to give him the money. His voters!!!!!

I really hope Adam surprises all of New Mexico

and the country as a whole. Everyone is watching that race!! Come on Marines-take that hill.

Adam Kokesh

We all should hope and perhaps send him money but he has a hoplessly democratic district.

No one should ever forget how shabally Beck treated Dr. Paul during the Presidential campaign or the conscienceless shillin he did for his fellow Mormon, Romney. As for Murdock, he was relentless in having Hannity O'Reilly constantly savage Dr. Paul so th

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Paine on Slavery Slavery is

Paine on Slavery

Slavery is 100% In-Voluntary Taxation

We live in 60-80% In-voluntary Taxation (direct and indirect taxation)

100% of all Taxation comes by-way of Lobbying or Voting

This is why I don't get pumped about another "Liberty Candidate"

There is no liberty in abdication or theft of authority -- period.

If we "play the game" at all -- we commit to perpetual war with those who vote and lobby in the opposite direction.

That's how "artificial profit is create" you know -- Ron Paul calls it the business cycle when referring to the market. What should we call it when referring to political profit?

Voting creates huge Political Profit
Lobbying creates huge Politicical Profit
Politics create huge "Business Cycle" Profits (according to Ron Paul).

Hmmmmm?

Octobox

We only EVER need one Public Educator

If you lined the congress wall-to-wall with Ron Paul "types" -- you'd wind up with just enough Mark Sanford's to split the vote.

The greater the number of RP's in congress the greater the lobbying purse on the remaining sell-outs is.

You CANNOT "buy back" or "vote in" Liberty

You will take from someone else and that will lead to counter-lobbying and voting.

It's fallacious reasoning.

Liberty must be taken by a ZERO Abdication Philosophy!

How can you "abdicate authority" (lobby and vote) and thus increasing the pool of potential lobbying dollars to be earned and voting power granted -AND- expect "liberty" to be returne?

Liberty must be taken by a ZERO Abdication Philosophy!

PERIOD!!!

Octobox

sure...

so let's do nothing...is that your decision?

you haven't got a clue, octosocks!

Counter-Economics is the daily roll needed to get into freedom and to maintain it.

Very simple formula.

For there to be a Taxless (or extremely low taxed) society the "people" must force it -- You can't ask a small number of people profiting off of Lobbied Regulation - Taxation - Subsidization based on Self-Rule-Abdication, can you? I mean why would they when they never have.

There cannot be "lobbying" in a Free-Society.

So, we need to understand the "profit" drivers in lobbying -- where does the money come from?

Wealthy people make 100% of their money (including maintaining it) from consumers -- In fact consumers are the profit drivers for everything (either in abdication or consumption).

There cannot be "voting" in a Free-Society -- Voting is for Democracy. Even the Founding Father's had enough sense to create a Voting Class; even though THAT is Democratic too (the root evil and American downfall).

You cannot "abdicate" or "steal" authority in a free-society -- That's a Misesian axiom -- less "ecorob" you think you know better than Ludwig von?

Let's sum it up then - shall we.

1) ZERO Abdication or Theft of Individual Authority
2) The Individual is the Consumer (not the Worker and not the Property Owner -- as Mises argued)
3) There can be NO LOBBYING
4) There can be NO VOTING

The above destroys Taxation (save the amount we voluntarily agree to).

Slavery is 100% In-Voluntary Taxation

Money Bombs are "Lobbying"
We are "Voters" -- which is righteous up to ONE Social Educator (right now it's Ron Paul -- nothing wrong with replacing him "passing the torch" with his son). That's one vote and one lobby.

As our Social Educator works from the top we must pull the rug out from the bottom.

My meditation tells me it will take 10,000,000 -- we can raise that many numbers.

Our "rug puller"

1) Develop Alternate Income Streams (work under the table as much as possible) -- Tax Refusal
2) Hire under-the-table for our businesses and homes
3) Buy Local products and services -- (reduce our "corporate" spending to as close to 'nil' as possible -- 'till they guarantee to never lobby)
4) Buy Local Organic Produce, Dairy, and Meat -- as often as possible

If we were in a free-society the above is EXACTLY how we'd have to live anyway -- So, why not start living it now; maybe that's how freedom is created?

He is basically a Ron Paul

He is basically a Ron Paul clone but younger and lot of charisma. I believe he could be the most important of all the liberty candidates because of that charisma.

Adam Kokesh is NO Ron Paul

Ron Paul would never make collectivist arguments -NOR- does Ron Paul "perform" his speeches.

Schiff
Rand
Judge
Stosser
and Ron Paul

NONE of them "PERFORM" their speeches.

I do not trust Adam ---- He has ZERO back ground for leadership -- he's only given Performance Speeches.

I was in the military -- don't give me that speech either.

Also, I think it's absurd that we donate even $1 to anyone other than Ron Paul (okay - to Rand as the "one" successor) -- I was hoping a year ago that DPers and RPers would wake up to the ONLY real way to move toward liberty.

Counter-Economics (the one true "We the People" model)

So, we'll wast another 100,000,000 on "RP type" cadidates -- "type' not "clone"

The mold was broken.

Different strokes, Octo; that's the way freedom

works. Not everyone is a entrepreneur, great as that would be. some see ways to works inside the system. I like the message Adam is telling people, maybe that's enough. Education is key.

I'd also love to see as many ideas generated in this forum for individual economic alternatives and independence as for political action. But apparently it takes longer for entrepreneurial alternatives to gestate, and meanwhile lots of folks are taking what looks to them like a shortcut through politics.

You may be right that the personal economic independence route would be more effective quickest. Without a crystal ball I don't try to guess, just act in my own sphere and am happy to see the variety of routes others take.
As Rhino reminds us, WAHOR.

Reedr: Of course "different strokes"

.........was that a Sly and the Family Stone song?

History spells out how "lasting" freedom and liberty works.

All known periods of "liberty" (that I can think of - come from guns - voting - and perpetual war with a winner and loser). Of course in those examples there was only "liberty" for a few in each and every case.

That's why there's never been lasting liberty.

There can be no liberty if there is abdication or theft of authority.

Voting is perpetual War

Lobbying is perpetual War

It is the Democratic Model -- It is Trotsky's "end-run game"

The best games have everyone thinking their side is the one "God favors" or that is "morally just" -- of course all sides feel that way.

A 3-Party system and 12-Party system -- all corrupt because all based on "voter force and lobby power"

The "fight" for freedom and the maintinence of freedom rests with the Consumer and the Consumer alone.

the Consumer is the sleeping giant

Wow! There is a man who needs to be at the front of

this movement. Any chance he can win down there?

I think we should all contribute as much as we can...

come next moneybomb for Adam. And for those of us who are able to, and are driven, or those whom already are experienced in political activism and organizing, should lend a hand to his campaign, especially if you are a resident of NM, or are able to travel and volunteer for a while.

You all know the man has proven himself to be more than worth it.

The photo on his website of him taking a break, leaning in front of a Humvee, with his USMC armor adorned with flowers, whether a moment of battlefield irony by him or his buddies, or the flowers were a gift from the good people of Iraq that he came across in USMC's official Civil Affairs role, I think the picture, regardless of the intent of the shot, pretty much sums him up: a guntoting Lover of Peace. Irony upon ironies, or, the truth that most false paradigm stuck "liberals" and "conservatives" alike fail to understand? I would submit the latter to be the case. There is NO defense against tyranny, unless the FREE PEOPLE are armed, and the State fears its citizenry. As the recent display of 2nd Amendment rights by William Kostric and Chris Boughton illustrate clearly, it's the person with the gun and for what purpose it is used, that makes the difference, NOT the mere existence of an inanimate object all by its legless self.

Adam Kokesh, above all others, whenever the opportunity presents itself, he expounds upon the virtues of ANTI-Statism. I personally appreciate that above all other efforts. The Statist-collectivism truly is the root of all evil, beyond the sheeple being unaware of the hidden hand of the NWO NYC-London-Swiss banksters, which they may or may not understand. The only way most humans go along to get along, to rationalize away such blatant inhumane tyranny we are living under is, IF they tell themselves they're simply doing their job, on behalf of the "greater good." Of course, that "greater good," is ONLY GOOD for a very select few oligarchs. I absolutely love that he never fails to bring that debate into the evolving political discourse that is going on through out the Republic, today.

Of course, Adam talks about other virtues as well: the necessity for sound money, anti-imperialism, humane treatment of fellow men/women, non-interventionism, NO-subsidy for anyone, ABSOLUTE protection of pre-existent UNALIENABLE RIGHTS enumerated in the Constitution.

Kokesh is definitely one of the best candidates we have running on OUR FREEDOM/Liberty principles platform.

P.S. Thanks to Michael and/or the moderators for putting it on the front page!

Good One, Thanks!
