Sen. Reid Threatens Newspaper with economic punishment
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has threatened the largest newspaper in his home state of Nevada for publishing a series of critical articles and editorials as he seeks a fifth term in the U.S. Senate.
The veteran Democratic lawmaker threatened economic punishment in retaliation for the negative coverage and told a senior executive at the paper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, that he hopes it goes out of business. Over the weekend the newspaper’s publisher wrote a piece calling the senator’s remarks a full-on threat perpetrated by a bully who has forgotten that he was elected to office to protect Nevadans, not sound like he's shaking them down.
The publisher points out that Reid’s behavior is not becoming of a man who is the majority leader in the U.S. Senate and that it absolutely is not what anyone would expect from a man who now asks Nevadans to send him back to the Senate for a fifth term. “If he thinks he can push the state's largest newspaper around by exacting some kind of economic punishment in retaliation for not seeing eye to eye with him on matters of politics, I can only imagine how he pressures businesses and individuals who don't have the wherewithal of the Review-Journal,” the publisher writes.

My god this is insanity. Most of us still don't get it. You actually think the political process is working? our candidates changing anything to our favor? of course not . Even our great Dr Paul with all the insight and knowledge cannot get a bill to pass even though he has plenty of support. 1207 could be backed by the entire world and it will still be changed to suit the corrupt.
At this point it doesn't matter who you support and how hard you try to correct the imbalances they will remain in power the thugs that control and regulate our lives. Socailism and slavery are unstoppable unless we have a revolution and I am not talking about voting and supporting your favorite candidates. It didnt happen to change the brits and it wont happen here unless we bear arms and fight.

This just demonstrates the arrogance of many of our public servants. They seem to have forgotten that they work for us.
They think that they can steal our money and give it to their friends - the bail outs. That they can send our jobs overseas - NAFTA. They can tell us which firearms we are allowed to purchase - The Clinton "Assault" Weapons Ban, that they can spy on us for reasons of "national security" - the FISA Bill.
Harry Reid is a big part of the problem. Let's all hope to see him looking for a real job soo. I'm sure one of the special interest he has helped will make sure poor Harry doesn't go hungry.

I'd like to ask you to consider a few points. First, you use collective terms repeatedly. I don't have any public servants. Not one. None of the people in those positions work for me. To be certain they are paid with money stolen from me, but that does not mean that they work for me. So 'we' don't have any public servants. And second, 'they' are not one person. Dr. Paul is a United States Congressman. Is he they as well? It makes no sense to say they have forgotten anything.
Start seeing things for what those things really are, and start seeing the individual people who are weilding the power of the state over everyone. I believe that if you do, you will start to see that it is not simply that the individual people weilding that power that are the problem, but that the position exists with that apparent power that is the problem.
