Breaking News: Barney Frank plans to water down 'Audit the Fed'

Details are emerging of the plan I reported on earlier today to railroad 'Audit the Fed' HR 1207.
Tom Braithwaite of the Financial Times reports that Barney Frank will introduce “elements” of Ron Paul's bill for a house vote in October, in order to appease it's many supporters, both in the House and in the public at large.
Braithwaite also states, emphasis added:
… Mr Frank is aiming to bring forward legislation that would safeguard the Fed's monetary policy independence while enhancing transparency and creating checks and balances for the bank's use of emergency lending powers.

This was no big surprise. Frank is as slimy as they come.
I don't know why Ron Paul has called him a friend of his. I guess that he has to have a working relationship with the man. I cannot see them socializing at all together. Frank cannot be trust with anything of importance.
