Chris Mathews has invited...

Ron Paul as a guest on his show for a FULL hour ! He extended this invitation the day after the last debate. This is MAJOR ! I believe Mathews likes Ron Paul, comparing him to Barry Goldwater. Does anyone know if the campaign has scheduled this yet? If not , call the campaign.

everytime

everytime I see Dr Paul on TV I am reminded why I am so excited about being part of the revolution. He will do great on both Geln Beck And Mattews and I think he should do both. Think of all the good quotes we could get for videos. The very talented people who make these videos, I send them to a lot of people. I hope he goes on both and the view and any other TV forum that will have him and be tastefull.

Here is a link for that

Please stop posting Subject lines like that

Spiritof1776: Thanks for the info, but there's absolutely no reason why you have to make your subject line stop at "invited..."

Put the information in there, up front. People shouldn't have to waste time (especially dinosaurs on dialup like me!) clicking and loading a page just to see what the thread is about.

Protections for anonymous speech are vital to democratic discourse. Allowing dissenters to shield their identities frees them to express critical, minority views...Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority. - SCotUS, 1995

Come on!

Who do you think the poster would be talking about in his subject line OTHER than Ron Paul? Elvis? Even on dialup it shouldn't "waste" but a few seconds of your time ....

Many things...

"Chris Matthews has invited..."

can refer to many possibilities, including:

- "...McCain on 7 times this year. Why not RP!?" (or Dodd, Rudy, Biden, etc.)
- "...every GOP candidate except RP!"
- "...Tancredo on. Let's demand he invite RP!"
- "...Pat Buchanan on to talk about RP."
- "...Bernard von NotHaus on."
- "...Trevor Lyman on."
- "...8 different candidates for president on. Why not RP?"

The possibilities go on and on. Sure, RP might be the most likely possibility, but people have been abusing the subject lines of posts on this forum for a long time. They post vague, misleading, or factually inaccurate stuff up there.

Chris Mathews, as a liberal

Chris Mathews, as a liberal statist internationalist, doesn't have much love for libertarianism or Ron Paul. The only reasons I can imagine for him having Dr. Paul on for an hour are ratings and possibly to try to attack him and discredit him, but any attempt at that kind of strategy will backfire since Dr. Paul is far more knowledgeable of the issues than Mathews.

I disagree with the branding

And I think he'll get more than a fair shake in an interview. I've watched him for years and don't see anything worse than middle of the road. Remember, we top of the Nolan chart Libertarians should not attack those Centrists we need to win elections.

I agree...

But Dr. Paul can handle himself just fine one on one with Chris Mathews or Glen Beck.

He better do Glenn Beck first

since we need to convert more republicans and beck is a much better medium for that. Not to mention a full hour on the 3rd most listened to radio program in the nation would be better than an hr on a show that doesn't have as many viewers as headline news. Though this still would be great for publicity if he does do this.

No way...seriously, Glenn

No way...seriously, Glenn Beck is a blowhard. Hard Ball, on the other hand, is a very well known show. I just think we need to let this whole Glenn Beck thing go simply because he doesn't deserve our attention.

As much as I like this...

This is NOT the same thing as Beck's invitation. Beck, directly offered/asked for this, many times and finally in a direct released vid to us.

Chris Mathews merely made an offhand remark that it would be great to have Dr. Paul on for an hour.

There is a slight difference, so we shouldn't get our hopes up about this.

Hmmm..

Where did you hear this??

HARDBALL with Chris Mathews.....

He said Thurs. Nov.29th..."I'd like to get Ron Paul on the show for a full hour"!! That said, I still think RP should accept Glen Beck's invitation first. If you remember, Glen Beck started getting really nasty, after his first invitation was screwed up with scheduling problems with the campaign. We can't afford that problem again. Please call the campaign and let them know.

This is good!

If it's really true, get some backup links please.

CM's ratings give him a lot of leeway with his GE bosses. And face it, the Ron Paul campaign will generate ratings.

The last time I saw CM and Ron Paul together on TV, it was a great conversation.

CM's favorite is Pat Buchanan. He likes the exchange of ideas. One hour of Ron Paul telling truth would be a bombshell.

Liberty and Freedom are a beacon; not a bullet.

Hardball!

Yes, Dr. Paul should do Hardball. Matthews will at least provide an open, intelligent discussion.

I totally agree

I'm thinking that doing this is not a request, but a requirement for Dr. Paul. Free TV exposure is super important. While I'm not sure about Glenn Beck (ok I am, Ron is amazing when he's allowed to discuss issues), this is very important. Other people have see this though, it's news from earlier this week :)

Dr. Paul can handle....

Glen Beck. Look how he handled Sean Hannity after one of the debates. I think he should accept Glen Beck's invitation too.
