Ron Paul Makes Rock Star Appearance At Loyola New Orleans

If a presidential election were held last night on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans, the winner would not have been the 48 year old occupant of the White House, but a spry 74 year old physician from Texas.
U..S. Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) enthralled a huge crowd of supporters and students with a one hour address on topics ranging from the war in Afghanistan to the Federal Reserve. The crowd was so large that the university set up five overflow rooms to accommodate the intense interest in Dr. Paul’s message.

I have another idea.

But, perhaps, a more practical idea would be to simulcast the speech to multiple colleges in the same time zone via closed circuit tv similar to professional boxing matches or even Obama's upcoming indoctrinating of our schoolchildren. This would sure pare down the good doctor's travel schedule and still reach thousands upon thousands of college students. In 4 speeches he could cover the country. Then a few months later as things change (most likely for the worse) he could repeat the 4 time zone circuit with new talks, again to packed college auditoriums. It would be mandatory that the "live" site have the best video equipment for capture and broadcast. C4L and YAL could do the legwork in setting this up. We need to wake up the college and university students, letting them know that what the good doctor talks about is not a partisan issue, it is an American issue. There is not 1 iota of partisanship that I heard in the Loyola speech, just the truth and common sense. Let's rock all of the campuses like the 70's again!

this appears to be from the audience. There was a tripod camera stationed just to Dr. Paul's right (rather than his left) that was used to stream to the overflow rooms and to record the event. When it's posted - we'll post the link here.

Ron is fired up! I think he got mixed up at part 2, 1:20 (cia is more secretive than the fed...) i thought it was the other way around... Ron has got such fire these days... he says that we energize him and its certainly showing, he seems much younger now than in 07...

An observation:
Dr Paul never seems to have a security force like as needed by other congress critters.
He had one
in Seattle a few weeks ago. They just don't look like "suits." But if you know who they are, which in this case many of us did, you know why they are there. And we want them standing with us. I imagine in each place, the security team is organized at the local level, as it was in Seattle. I understand the gentleman doesn't like his security to be too close to him so he can be close to us. Sometimes the detail needs to be close to him.
Find the YouTube for the Seattle C4L event (Dr. Paul's address) and note the after session in the audience and you will see what I mean.

Watching this reminds me that Rand needs to get a clue about
Afghanistan. The information is out there. Hell, you can watch a nifty 50 minute documentary that his been broken down in parts for you. Papa Paul gets it. These wars are senseless and will accomplish nothing but further chaos and ruin to our countries people and reputation. Its time for some tough love. I recommend we all send our rep in the running a nice letter on the subject.

His approach, his logic, keeps me grounded.
And keeps me from getting too pissed-off.
