Following is a small excerpt of a very good read. That $100M is from more than 50 years ago.

FOUNDATIONS ARE THE TAX SHELTERS FOR THE SUPER RICH
According to Rep. Wright Patman, in a report to the 87th Congress, it is because of the existence of foundations, that "only one-third of the income of the nation is actually taxed."
Some of the important foundations are: Ford Foundation (Ford Motor Co.), Rockefeller Foundation (Standard Oil), Duke Endowment (Duke family fortune), John A. Hartford Foundation (Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea), W. K. Kellogg Foundation (the Kellogg Cereals), Carnegie Corp. (Carnegie Steel), Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (General Motors), Moody Foundation (W. L. Moody's oil, realty, newspapers, and bank holdings), Lilly Endowment (Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals), Pew Memorial Trust (Sun Oil Co. or Sunoco), and the Danforth Foundation (Purina Cereals), which all have assets of well over $100 million.
The first Congressional Committee to investigate the tax-free foundations was the Cox Committee in 1952, led by Rep. Eugene E. Cox, a Democrat from Georgia. Its purpose was to find out which "foundations and organizations are using their resources for purposes other than the purposes for which they were established, and especially to determine which such foundations and organizations are using their resources for un-American and subversive activities or for purposes not in the interest or tradition of the United States."
Cox discovered that officers and trustees of some foundations were Communists, and that these foundations had given grants to Communists or Communist-controlled organizations. A former Communist official, Maurice Malkin, testified that in 1919 they were trying "to penetrate these organizations (foundations), if necessary take control of them and their treasuries ... that they should be able to finance the Communist Party propaganda in the United States." During the investigation, Cox died, and the facts were glossed over in a cover-up.
When crunch time comes....
lets see who Beck supports in Kentucky....Rand or the NeoCon?
I am betting the NeoCon.
I am happy that Beck is talking the talk in certain areas....
He seems to "get it" in many areas and is waking quite a few people up. It is then, OUR job to go and niggle our way up to those people and take them through the door of truth. They are upset.... they are afraid.... and it is opening their minds to more. He has actually provided me a SMALL ability to converse with family members on common topics. So far, they don't want to go further than "Beck Truth" though.
Having said that, however, I do always wait for the "other shoe to drop" with Beck. He wants to play both sides of the fence... that's show biz. I don't know if he is a "plant" or if his philosophy is just not very grounded as of yet, or if he's just out to make the "big bucks" on the current "liberty fad". One minute he will be right on track, and the next minute he backs off and does a 180. He's too unpredictable and flaky right now for me to have confidence in him.
The day I hear Beck say that he is now AGAINST interventionist foreign policy (not just for budgetary reasons, but for Constitutional and moral reasons), and admit that he was wrong about Paul and his fans being "wacko's", will be the day that I trust him. Until then, I will keep my guard up with him.

I wish Beck would point out
I wish Beck would point out how both parties use fear and deception to grow the size and power of government.
The government grows and takes away freedoms by manipulating the left with fear about global warming, fear of guns, fear of economic freedom, and fear of the wealthy.
The government grows and takes away freedom by manipulating the right with fear about "terrorists" and boogie-men.
Both parties know how to manipulate their base with fear and deception.
Imagine if you ran a
Imagine if you ran a personal radio show, then you somehow got a job at Fox News. There is now two options:
1. You are being told everything to say.
2. Fox tries to gain viewers by allowing Beck to cover issues that AREN'T covered on other networks, an entirely different point of view. Which is a smart business move to gain traffic. You still have to realize he is on a national stage of media which is controlled very tightly, I'm sure he has guidelines to stay within as long as viewers keep tuning in. They are the #1 newscast by far if I'm not mistaken
3. You get paid a ridiculous amount to preach a certain sermon. Which could be the case here, but you have to admit that if millions of people are tuning in each night hearing words about ending the fed, exposing those in control, motivation to contact reps about ending the healthcare, bailouts and so forth.... it has to be helping. Why does Murdoch allow it to continue when I know he is for these things 100%, who knows? Maybe he is being to careless and thinking our population is to lost.

If Glenn Beck were really
If Glenn Beck were really riding the truth train he would also be devoting a large part of his shows to HR 1207 and S 604. In addition to having Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders as guests together to discuss the bill. He would also have Barney Frank on to grill him about having this bill tied up in his committee for months and now wants to tack it onto another bill he wants to get passed.
Since, the health care bill hit the scene the audit the fed bill has been relegated to the back seat. It needs to be brought front and center again along side the health care and cap and trade issues.
We are being overwhelmed by all these diversions. Just as outlined in the Cloward-Piven Strategy. If you've never heard of Cloward-Piven...Google it for a real education.
I believe Beck did have a small piece about these people on one of his shows.
He also needs to go into the history of the Rockefeller family and their foundation. How foundations were invented by daddy Rockefeller and for what purpose. And daddy Rockefeller's tactics in dealing with his competitors All quite interesting to say the least.
If he gets it he is dead or
If he gets it he is dead or fired.
For examples, see Clinton years, Bush years, Lennon, MLK, JFK, Bobby Seale, RobertK, Hoffman.
Beck reminds me of a quote
Beck reminds me of a quote by Rothbard that he used when engaging in political action.
"Never let the perfect be the enemy of the good." The staunchest of Austrian anarchists always voted for the best candidate, even if that candidate by objective standards, sucked balls because the political system exists and will affect you so you may as well have as much influence as you can in the direction you want the most.
Beck is helping us, not perfectly, but he is helping. He's planting seeds of doubt in the entire political process in the minds of the average Fox News viewer in a way that many of them would never consider. This is a good thing. He's going after the moneymen behind the Fed and the wars and the major political parties. This is good stuff. We should encourage him to go farther, to be even bolder than he has been. Not dismiss him as a rodeo clown or shill for Murdoch or whatever.
Use him tactically to help convince people where all of this truly ends. He has credibility with now 1% of the population who watch him, tap that audience. It's silly not to.

So does Glenn have eyes to see?
All he has to do is look behind his right ear as he sits at his desk and say, "Hmmm, what is that spraying out right back there on my marquee? How did that get there? Is that a . a . a chemtrail?
I think he is getting it.
I think he is getting it. Maybe.
I don't think he gets it, because he still thinks the Islamic extremists are the boogie man. He believes we need to be in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to the umpteen number of other countries we have troops.
Until he sees the error in that kind of thinking he will never be truly awake.
You would think by now he would be aware of the fact that the "war on terror" is bogus. For if it were real our borders would have been shut down no later than 9/12/01. But they were left wide open and remain wide open to this day.
Can you imagine
the veiwers he would lose instantaniously if he jumped out saying that too quick. If he did feel as we(you and I cactus1010) he would have to approach with caution or be nullified by alot of his audience. Have to take the good of what he is doing for now and hope he sees the truth and finds a good way to get it out there without blowing what he has accomplished so far. You can doubt him and I do at times, but if you were where he is what would you do? Tricky situation.
do not take his words out of
do not take his words out of context.
and REMEMBER where he works, do you really think he's free to say what ever he wants?
it seems to me, his body language is screaming that he's holding back the things he'd really like to say.
I am by no means a glen beck fanboy, I just have recently caught a few of his shows and apreciate his message, he's taking a roundabout aproach to the same things that we all want, more transparancy which leads to...
;)

Yes, I do know who he works
Yes, I do know who he works for and that's exactly why I don't trust him. He may be saying all the right things, but so do politicians and look what they turn out to be.
He appears to have an agenda. The only question is, what is that agenda?
He is either being truthful or he is giving the best performance of his life. Only time will tell.
If Glenn Beck were to
If Glenn Beck were to publicly apologize to Ron Paul for calling him the mayor of crazy town and whatever else he called him on his radio and TV shows and admit that of all the candidates running for the presidency in 2008 Dr Paul was and is the only one who could and would put our country on the correct path to recovery. Then I might believe him.
He should also personally invite Dr. Paul to the 9/12 event, because without Dr. Paul none of this would be possible. His candidacy is what awakened so many in this country and around the world. Now Beck has taken it on as his own cause without including Ron Paul and his supporters, the original modern day Tea Partyers.
I don't care about the apology, he is saying the right things
now. I don't fully trust him, but he is waking people up. The rest is up to us.

So what does saying the
So what does saying the right things have to do with anything? Politicians say the right things or should I say the things people want to hear and look what they turn out to be. Remember he works for Murdock.
do we now penalize people for thinking something other than what
we think?
He may have truely thought those things himself, no doubt he is inundated with slanted ideas via his work place, some of them have to stick....
I like what he's doing, I like the way that he's doing it so far, he's telling people to research on their own, and guess where that leads.....

Actual fictional memo leaked
Note to Glenn Beck: There's a great big parade starting up that calls itself "the Liberty Movement." I want you to get out in front and start waving a baton and yelling "Follow me!" They don't like our wars, so ease way up on those. Be flamboyant. They are having events called "Tea Parties." Take over the organization of those parties. Invite our GOP guys to speak, but leave our Democrat guys out of it. (No exceptions on the Democrats - very important. Always remember the Big Club directive.) Invite that Asian girl to speak. Malkain or something. You know the one. Now this last part is very important. After a few months, start chumming up with Bill O. Start making an absolute utter fool of yourself. Don't hold back. We're counting on you.
- R. Murdock
P.s. Quit calling Ron Paul's followers crazy. Invite him on your show.
- RM
Are you sure that's fictional?
I turned the tv on again yesterday to see if Beck was really changing like people are saying. I watched his 5 part "save the show" series on youtube last week, and had heard people say it's waking up their friends and family, so I decided to try it out with my republican leaning roommate. I turned on Beck while he was in the room. Beck was going off on van jones and my roomate was noticeably intrigued. He came in closer to see what this was all about. Awesome! Way to go Glen! My roomate started asking some good questions and I explained about all the czars and their backgrounds and the agenda that's being pushed. I could sense the lights turning on and the indignation boiling up and then....
On a complete tangent Beck went off on the glorious life saving virtues of... DDT! What?! He told how the evil environmentalist wacko liberals took DDT away from us and how they are responsible for the deaths of millions of people a year because we can't use it anymore to protect our crops and kill everything that crawls or flies.
NOOOO!!!
My roommate visibly shutdown. He left the room disgusted saying, "ok he pretty much lost all credibility right there, doesn't he know anything about DDT?? I don't know why you watch this guy, he's obviously insane."
Way to go Beck. I mean c'mon, DDT?! Are you trying to lose people!? Ok granted I haven't done the research and I'm opened minded enough to accept the possibility that we've been lied to about the dangers of DDT, if sufficient evidence is shown to me. It wouldn't be the first time we've been lied to. But you can't just say that out of the blue and not back it up. I mean that kind info bomb requires an entire special investigation show to debunk DDT "myths" line by line, at the very least . If you're saying DDT is safe, for most people that's like saying "hey everyone, mercury is a great life saving energy drink, but those dirty environmentalists won't let you drink it because its baaad for you".
Am I wrong on this? I guess what I'm getting at is when Beck throws stuff like this in to his somewhat truthful and eyeopening shows it discredits him and makes us all look bad. Is that Beck's goal? Who knows, but it sure looks that way.
He's good at pointing out the fires and shaking people awake with his sensationalism, but he totally ignores the arsonist and has yet point to and give credit to the firemen and fire chief (RP) who know how to solve the problem, and that seems suspect. Is he in league with the arsonist(s)? Some kind of sick promoter of their works? I'd like to give Beck the benefit of the doubt because he does some good, but he disappoints almost every time I watch him. I can no longer invite or recommend anyone to watch his show. It's a real shame, he has such a platform to really blow things out of the water but he blows it. Here's to hoping he gets his act together soon or that Freedom Watch finally gets a show. /rant

In my previous directive, I said Bill O. I meant Rush Limbaugh.

A clown
He is a self-professed "rodeo clown." That may be less of a confession and more of an accurate description than he knows. Rodeo clowns paint themselves up to look goofy, but their main job is distraction, not entertainment. They are there to distract the angry animals from the the men who got on the animals' backs and kicked them in the ribs with boot heels.
exactly
I think this is a very fitting description of Glenn Beck's job. People need to see this clown for what he truly is.
